Primary Dorian Blake

Dorian is, by default, as unassuming as a person can get. He is only slightly above average height, standing just under 5'8" tall with a thin, lanky build. His black hair is curly and tends to look a bit on the windswept side, contrasting his pale skin and bright amber eyes. He has a small mole underneath his right eye.

He wears glasses that frame his face well and dresses mostly in comfortable clothes that he can do and doff quickly.

His voice has a twinge of a Mid-Western American accent, which he does his best to hide and replace with a nondescript Trans-Atlantic accent. When he is upset or excited however, his natural way of talking shines through.

His hybrid form appears to be a vaguely humanoid wolf creature, standing just over six feet tall with a narrow build. His full wolf form stands this same height at the shoulder when on all fours. Both forms have black fur and the same amber colored eyes as his human form.

Dorian never wanted the spotlight that being the Alpha of his pack forces him into; he is already very aware that a portion of his family is not very understanding of who he is. But his own hands-on attitude and desire to make things better for others spurred him to action, and now here he is. He's very much a fish out of water when it comes to the pack leader thing, but he tries his best and is slowly learning that he has to constantly fight to earn the respect that his predecessors took for granted.

When he isn't taking care of the pack, Dorian really enjoys being outdoors. He used to do track and field before the family moved, and he still loves taking off for a run whenever he feels like it. He also has a passion for art, specifically painting, and uses that to express feelings that he otherwise doesn't have words for.

Active
Wolf Shift
Dorian can shapeshift at will between his human, hybrid and wolf forms. While in his wolf form, his natural abilities double. As the Alpha of his pack, Dorian is not forced to shift during the full moon and retains his state of mind during this time.

Gift of the Black Wolf
Dorian can turn another person into a werewolf. By biting them in his wolf form, he can mark them with the Blake family strain of lycanthropy. If anytime within the next twenty-four hours that person is subjected to severe traumatic injury, the blessing will take effect and transform them into a werewolf. Werewolves created in this manner are magically inclined to obey the werewolf who turned them for one hundred days.

Pack Alpha
Dorian is his pack's Alpha, and as such can command their inner wolves. He can command any werewolf in his pack to revert to their human form and mindset, even during a full moon and can pacify them in their wolf form even if they are feral. Any werewolf bearing the Blake strain of lycanthropy is subject to this, as is any werewolf who willingly joins the pack. This ability can be transferred to another werewolf if they challenge and beat the current holder of the ability in single combat.

Passive
Alpha Scent
Other werewolves can smell that Dorian is an Alpha. How they react is up to them, but they know that he has both power and authority in his position. This ability can be transferred to another werewolf if they challenge and beat the current holder in single combat.

Physical Superiority
In his human form, Dorian's physical abilities are three times greater than that of a human of his age and build. His body will slow down in the aging process when he reaches his physical prime somewhere in his thirties. Barring an untimely demise, he will live roughly twice as long as a normal human.

Superior Senses
Dorian's senses of hearing and smell are on par with a wolf's and he can see in near total darkness as well as he can during the day.

Resilience
The Blessing of the Black Wolf heals almost all harm. Injuries, poisons, and diseases are recovered from in a tenth of the time it would take a human. There are a few exceptions however: injuries suffered from the claws or fangs of another werewolf, injuries caused by pure silver, and the poison of the wolf's bane plant.

Weakness

Dorian is a member of the newest generation of the Blake werewolf family. Like most others before him, he lived a semi-isolated life from normal humans. Homeschooled, he grew up on the various family ranches. He was an unruly child, not fully happy until he came out to his parents and they started quietly helping him transition away from the rest of the family. When the Blakes did find out about Dorian's identity, the reaction was mixed but eventually he came to be at least tolerated by a majority of the family - as long as he kept quiet about all of it.

That was his life for several years, until a family member who had gone to live on the island of Manta Carlos called with troubling news: magic was dying out and sooner or later the family would lose all of their supernatural traits. The older members of the family, the Alpha included, made the decision to stay and let things play out. They assumed that either the rumor was wrong or that it would sort itself out. The younger members of the pack were less convinced. Dorian wasn't the first to challenge the Alpha, but he was the one to beat him.

With his newfound authority, Dorian ordered the pack to move to Manta Carlos where they might be safe from the worst of the death of magic. Not everyone moved on: a majority of the older members of the pack fought his control and chose to remain behind rather than lose the livelihoods that they had gained.

Lives in a large communal house with his family, having the money owed to him as the pack Alpha from the family's ranching.
