  • The Iniquitii, called the Hellions or more cheekily the Sinions, are creatures that as a group could be called demons if you are being generous with the terminology. They certainly look the part and they have close connections to both Catholic iconography and the concepts of the Seven Deadly Sins, but they have many, many differences as well. Primarily, while they do tend to indulge in their associated sins and are often repelled by Catholic iconography, they are not strictly evil and are not required to tempt mankind or any such nonsense.

Secondly the realm they live in, called Dis, is not the torturous hellscape that most think of when they think of the home of demons. It is a place very much like the modern world, only with a lot more confusing bureaucracy and catering to the distinct sins that its inhabitants enjoy.

A given Sinion may have a single Primary Sin that they are attuned to or have a Primary and Secondary Sin. Ranks among the Sinions depend largely on how tuned into your Sins you are. Sins usually manifest through physical mutations and abilities, but it is difficult to strictly categorize them. No Sinion, no matter how weak or mundane, can really pass as human.

Common features include features of animals related to one's Primary or Secondary Sins (such as having a lion head if you are a Pride Sinion), having exaggerated body morphing (such as a Gluttony Sinion with a giant mouth on their stomach), or having entire parts of one's body made out of a non-organic material (such as a Greed Sinion with golden arms).
