"Maybe just wear those like, super high shoes. The ones that look like super straight legs, you know?" She had forgotten the words, so her trying to explain it didn't seem to work out the best for her. "I like being short sometimes, because then I think I get to look up at the world, rather than down at it." Flayace nodded as she ran a hand through her cotton candy colored hair.

"It was something that I really missed actually." Her mood got a bit sadder, but not enough to change her eye color. "It didn't scare me at all, so you don't need to worry." She didn't ask about what the mishap had been. "But yes, again." She cleared her throat. "My, my ex-boyfriend was able to talk to me in my head too. But anyways, since he kind of left me on my own after a big fight, it's been a while since someone wanted to talk to me at all." Her eyes then shifted to blue as she looked at the girl. "SO this means a lot to feel as if, this is almost some closure for me." Then, after a few seconds they changed back to green, as Flayace stood and brushed herself off. "You're right, it's getting late. Would you perhaps want my number, so we could... I don't know shop?" She flashed a bright smile.

'I hate both heels and platforms, they're just so uncomfortable,' Sarah complained. 'And they're way too formal for what I'm trying to accomplish with my outfit. So I guess I'm stuck with being short for the rest of my life.' If she could cry on command, she'd be sobbing miserably at that point. Forever doomed to live a life where she'd always fall short. Kinda.

Of course, there were times where she saw the benefits of being short. Especially the times when she had to duck, when the alcohol bottles were flying across the hall back home... yeah, it was better not to talk about that. But given another opportunity to lock gazes and connect hearts she might not be able to control the flow. That was what she was worried about - that it would be someone that she held dear, and that it would ruin them. That was the one time where she really feared herself and what she could do, and that kept herself in check.

There was a long, tragic and ruinous story locked beneath the gaze of the young girl - one that would bring many to tears, and others to loathe. To loathe the injustices of the world, yet draw inspiration from exactly this - and Sarah found hope within this small pocket of the world. Where she had been forsaken by the land and her kin, she would find a new chapter in her life. This was not exactly closure, but a clichéd new beginning.

'Well, you've found someone to talk to,' Sarah confided. 'I'd love to keep in touch. I haven't had the chance to get a phone contract from the local provider, but I could save your number in my phone.' Sarah brought up her phone's number pad and handed it over to Flayace. 'We have to go shopping together sometime!'

"Too bad." It wasn't as if it was her problem that the girl was short (as she really had nothing to do with it) but she didn't want to see her first friend look so down. That was of course, if they were friends and not just acquaintances and had heart to heart conversations. Flayace was too nervous to ask such a question.

When the girl asked for her number, she nodded and fumbled to hold onto her phone. Not that it was a real challenge, but more so because she wasn't used to being handed things. In a matter of seconds, her number was typed in for her. "There you go." Flayace stood and looked at the girl. "I should be going now, I need my sleep. But yes, we will go shopping for sure!" She smiled warmly as she started to back up and wave. After a few seconds, she turned and ran away back to her dorm.~
