This was the type of weather that Flayace loved. The mix of hot and cold, rushing together; clashing like waves against rocks. It made each breathe worthwhile, like a sweet candy that only lasted a few seconds. She echoed her smile across the ocean for everyone to see; but she was alone. Flayace usually was, no matter where she ended up. After she broke off things with her boyfriend, it became very hard to find friends that could cheer her up. Most of them already had people in their lives that were more important. Yes, she had Mochi, her faithful roommate; but even then she rarely saw the girl.
Flayace sat at the end of the beach, having her bare legs stretched out into it as she gazed out at the soon to be setting sun. It was a beautiful thing to stare at, even if it hurt her eyes. Her beige summer dress went down to her knees, before ending in a short ruffle that made her dress look like a bell when she span. It would be sandy when she stood, yes, but she didn't care at that moment. She only closed her eyes and allowed the sun to kiss her pale skin.
