Multiple times Junchi had to be held back by his dads to stop him from running off into the endless crowd of excited newcomers. There was never a place this magical that Junchi has seen. Well, maybe those few times when he went to Ilada for family gatherings, but he was too young then to remember those clearly. Didney Worl was his first time going to an amusement park, and it was like no park he ever saw before.

"Junchi, remember, you can't go on the big kid rides. You aren't big enough," he heard his daddy, Henghai, tell him. That didn't make sense to Junchi: he was nearly five, and would soon be in kindergarten. He was a bigger kid than some of his other friends, and taller too.
After being told that same thing five times, he gave up and went for the rides for the babies. One ride caught his eye: it was smaller than the others but had people in a cart on a swirly track. Henghai named it a "roller coaster," which was a silly name to Junchi, but everything here had a silly name. Like Didney Worl, and Didney Princii.

He had to stand in line to wait, behind all the other little kids. Apparently, he needed a partner to be on the ride, since people were being paired up in twos. There was one who was in front of him who looked much bigger and stronger than some of the other kids. They had giant horns—which made Junchi jealous since his tusks wouldn't even come in until he was a bigger kid—pretty dark brown fur, and hooves just like himself.

Without hesitation, Junchi poked the kid on their shoulder—carefully enough to not scratch them with their claws—and asked, "Wanna be roller coaster friends?"

Junchi was proud that he got himself a partner so quickly. Sometimes he was a bit too rough, so people avoided playing with him and called him "mean." He knew he wasn't mean, just that some kids were weaker and didn't like how he introduced himself and played, but that doesn't mean he didn't try to be more socially acceptable to people. The last thing he wanted was to hurt people.

This kid seemed strong though, so Junchi didn't feel like he needed to be as soft to him. "I'm an Earth oricenta. Got earth powers," he said excitedly. His powers weren't that strong yet, only allowing him to control flower petals, but his dads told him that it could be an incredibly powerful ability.

Junchi's excitement died down when asked about his mask. It wasn't clear that he was blushing, but he turned his head away and furrowed his eyebrows. "Just wanna," he responded. "I look like ninja." He wasn't going to ruin a friendship so quickly by showing off his teeth. If his personality annoyed and intimidated kid, his teeth made them never want to interact with him again.

"What's a minotaur?" he asked, trying to change the subject.
