Oh boy. Interviews were generally not his job. Like, it was a thing, but it wasn't something he did pretty often. Generally it was responding, being first on scene, but sometimes it extended past that.

Angelo had been, while not the first on scene, pretty close to the first. He'd been there as they'd arrested the blackwings. He'd been there as they'd collected up the stolen goods. And he'd been there as they'd cased the area.

One name had come up. The name was a part of the whispered rumors, but it was also the name connected to the stolen goods.

Had she come to get them back?

Angelo was in uniform when he knocked on the door to her office, looking professional, if a little bit weary. He had too much going on, and even though he felt like he'd just got back from vacation, maybe it was time for another one.

Zora was in the office kitchen making a mug of hot tea for herself when she heard the knock at the door. The office was almost empty this morning and therefore very quiet, almost peaceful. She'd actually decided that she needed to take a little break and clear her mind. She had had a horrible night again. The excessive use of magic, the discovery of the stolen goods, that her brother might be involved in some way made for a very fitful night. She was tired, exhausted actually and it showed. Not to mention that she had also been on the phone since late last night talking to her lawyer as well as her grandfather looking for advice.

Upon learning some very interesting information that she hadn't been originally aware of - mainly because it was not something she handled personally, she sent her personal assistant, Marie, out that morning to do some errands for her at the town registry offices, then she had sent her receptionist off to make a few phone calls to their London division and check all the bank transfers, recent acquisitions and shipping logs.

Opening the front door for whoever was knocking, she saw it was a tall blond uniformed police officer and could only guess that they had found the stolen goods in the abandoned warehouse... well, not really abandoned, but it had been made to appear that way.

"Good day officer, what can I help you with? she inquired evenly, mug in hand, not about to admit to the fact that she knew that the police might sooner or later appear at her home or offices and that she had spent the last 24 hours trying to find out if her brother was involved and who the Black Wings were.

Well, that was good. Half the reason Angelo was even there was because the force had sort of expected that she'd not be there at all. All the pieces seemed to line up in such a way that no one would have been surprised if Zora Del Bosque simply hadn't been there. Stuff from her company was there (probably stolen, they were still tracing things back). A pair of women's high heels. Her name, getting whispered all around, but no signs of her anywhere.

Angelo kept things pretty casual, flashing Zora his winning smile. She was around his age, which was nice, because he was more than a little bit too used to dealing with immortals that looked twenty years old. People who looked over 30 were rare on the island.

"Sergeant Genovese, with the Manta Carlos police, ma'am. Not sure if you've heard yet, but we had a bit of a situation yesterday elsewhere in the city. Big mess. We actually had a few questions I'd like to ask, if you don't mind."

Hearing Sergeant Genovese words, Zoraida just nodded once in acquiescence and then stepped aside to let him into her offices. "I have not heard too much about it. But I am aware of the situation," she said in an even but polite tone. It was the truth, she had not actually "heard" anything about it from any sources, not even the news, but as she had been there, she was aware of what had happened, and she suspected that he knew that too.

"If you'll follow me, Sergeant Genovese," Zoraida said with a hint of a smile, "I prefer to discuss this in my office," she said as she gestured with her head to a large office space with glass walls allowing anyone who was there to see what she was doing. Her office was visible to everyone that came in or worked there.

Once at her desk, she gestured for him to have a seat, "Coffee? Tea?" she asked him politely before they started.

It wasn't surprising she was aware of the situation. Even the news had picked up on it, and Angelo nodded as he followed her in, heading towards her office. The space was nice and neat, although he really, really wasn't sure how he felt about all the glass, and then took a careful seat, feeling a smidge too big for the chair.

He was too big for a lot of chairs.

"No thanks," he said. "I had some coffee at the start of my shift." He swung his head around, scanning the glass for a few moments before glancing back to her. "I assume you're fine with just talking here, no privacy needed?"

Obviously. That was why she'd come in there.

"Probably best to start by asking where you were yesterday."

"No, no privacy needed," she reaffirmed with a nod, again smiling just slightly, amused as he sat in the office chair - he was quite a large man indeed, and not bad looking too if she were honest.
She knew the openness was strange to many. However, it had its benefits too, all her meetings were witnessed and what was said, could be, if she choose, overheard.

"My secretary is down the hall, and Marie, my PA is off on errands," she explained calmly. Ignoring his comment about having had coffee earlier. The offer had been a pleasantry more than anything on her part.

"Where was I? Well, a few places actually. I had a busy day yesterday. A few clients from Sydney, a meeting at the bank, that kind of thing. I'm afraid that you'll need to be a tad more specific," she replied very politely - and truthfully - as she held the officer's, surprisingly friendly, gaze.

Well, time to be more specific, he supposed. Angelo didn't need to pull out his phone, but he considered doing it just to look slightly less off the cuff before deciding against it.

"In the late afternoon," Angelo said. "Early evening. After your usual hours."

Zora regarded Sergeant Genovese quietly for a moment, deciding on how to best answer. It was not an easy answer since everything had happened relatively fast. The question was, where to start? "Well, about that time, I was with Marie, my PA, we were on a break, had just left the offices here and were on our way to the Ocean Park district," she said calmly, being as precise and vague as she could be with the officer's question.

Angelo nodded along as she explained, considering her explanation as he did. She'd worked late, obviously, but that didn't really mean much. Lots of people on the island picked unusual schedules. The usual nine to five made very little sense on an island with literal vampires walking around.

"Did you go by ninth street at any point yesterday?" Angelo asked, his face impassive as he referenced the very street she'd gone to in her attempt to return that poor, poor phone.

"Ninth?" Zora replied somewhat unsure, she really didn't pay attention to streets names, "Maybe?" she shrugged lightly, "Is that the one near the park?" she asked, referencing the landmark she associated with places and where she had first seen Ain.
