Angelo nodded. "Just on the east side, not far from the park. Bit of a run down area, lot of warehouses all around." Definitely not the nice side of town, but not the absolute worst either. The kind of place they patrolled through a fair bit, just to make it known they were there.

"Then, yes, I was there that afternoon," she confirmed with a tiny nod, "Marie and I were on our way to get some coffee, finalizing a few business details... " she said, "There's a small shop down there that we sometimes visit... " she said referencing the locale where she had seen the first graffiti on the Black Wings, purposely avoiding any mention of the meeting with the elf.

So she'd been there. That was helpful information, but it didn't quite connect the dots. So Angleo opted to avoid beating around the bush too much, getting right to the point.

"Did you have any contact with anyone in the group 'The Black Wings'? Or anyone you might consider gang related."

"The Black Wings?" she said with a tiny frown, "No, I don't believe I've never heard of them before... " she replied with a shake of her head. Trying to remember if that was the name they had used. It was now somewhat of a blur - somethings she remembered with clarity, others not so much.

"Is that a gang here on the island?" she asked him quizzically.

So she was claiming she didn't know of the Black Wings. Angelo actually went so far as to pull out a small notepad at that, scribling out a few notes as he did.

"Yes. They handled smuggling, and they had several shipments from Woodland Imports in their warehouses. The other officers are still looking into it."

That was stuff other people would really deal with. What he cared about? Well, Angelo was really not big on stretching it out. No, he judged himself to be pretty good at spotting nerves, even if he wasn't nearly as good as he figured he was.

"We also found a pair of women's shoes not far from there. High heels. And the word on the street is that you got into a fight with them."

This bit of information actually surprised Zora - There was word was on the street that she had a fight with them? That was indeed news to her. And it actually made her smile and then chuckle at the thought.

"Well, the stolen goods, that's not so surprising," she said with a tiny frown, "We have had a few security issues lately, especially at the warehouse and docks, and my house was broken into not long ago..." she added her voice trailing off as she remembered that suddenly.

"And me taking on a gang, well, I can't even begin to explain how that rumour might have been started." she said shaking her head at that. "It seems rather farfetched. I assure you, I didn't and couldn't start a fight with anyone, especially not a gang," she told him holding his gaze calmly.

Her house was broken into? Angelo raised an eyebrow at that, clearly interested. "When was that, exactly?" Angelo asked, hoping for clarification. Was that connected? Was this some massive string of interconnected events, or was it a separate thing? "And did you put in a report with the police?"

But it was clear enough she was giving his question a firm no. She was a good member of society, a model citizen, and she wasn't going to be fighting with any gangs. Simple enough.

"So you didn't lose a pair of heels yesterday?"

"Maybe two months ago, no three actually," she answered truthfully, at his question about the burglary. Amazed at how time flew by. "And yes, I did file a report... Mr. Aedan Drago actually apprehended the thief as he bolted out of the house..." she explained, remembering that evening months ago.

At his shoe question, she just shook her head, "No, I haven't lost any shoes," she said truthfully, giving him a rather strange look at the question. Zora hadn't technically "lost" them. She had left them behind, not bothering to retrieve them - which now she realised had been an oversight on her part. Zora had actually just transported herself home magically from outside the other secluded warehouse instead of finding a taxi home. Walking through town, barefooted, would have certainly raised a lot of eyes, and besides, it would have taken her forever to cross the city barefoot. She had decided not to risk it.

So, she hadn't lost a shoe. She'd been down near the park, but not near the warehouses. Angelo was making his own little notes as they went. Most of them were mental, but at least some of them were actually written down in brief, messy shorthand.

"Aedan Drago?" Angelo asked, raising an eyebrow as he confirmed. He had wondered what he was up to, but 'stopping a burglar' was not high on the list of guesses he'd had.

But he'd covered what he'd come there for. He knew where she said she was, he knew she said the shoes weren't hers, and what else was there to ask?

"I think I've asked most of my questions I had in mind. You have anything you want to report before I head out?"

"Yes, Aedan works here actually," she said with a warm smile, "He is in charge of Woodland's security operations," she explained briefly. Somewhat surprised though that Aedan knew the officer in question and now feeling even worse at the lies she was telling. Everything was becoming a mess, but she feared the truth, the real truth, would only cause more problems.

"No, I don't think so..." Zoraida said with a shake of her head as she slowly stood up to see the officer out.
