"Almost the same, but I sorta lost track of time," she said, giggling to herself a bit for being the forgetful person she is. She had a firm grasp on her socks and shoes, as her now bare feet were helping her balance on the rail.

"Then, I'm guessing that you have powers that landed you here?" she asked, trying to attempt a wink.

Dean gave a smile as Shari giggled to herself. So she was new too? Well sort of new, after a few weeks, you're not so new anymore.

"Yeah, you could say that. I can teleport, what about you?" Dean asked. He'd gotten used to the constant but inevitable question of "What's your power?" but it wasn't bad repeating it to new people, it meant he was meeting new people, which was never a bad thing.

Teleporting? That was cool; if she could teleport, she could get away from trouble and the like. "Helpful, right?"

"Fire," she said, trying to snap her finger. "I'm a pyrokinetic; small sparks would come out if I try to snap, but I can't snap," she said, smiling to herself about it. "Sometimes I think I can change the possiblities of thing. it's that or I'm paranoid."

"Yeah, I guess so. It's really helpful though when i just want to get away."

Dean watched as Shari tried snapping her fingers, but was unsuccessful. "Wait, you can only get sparks by snapping your fingers, but you can't snap your fingers?"

"Well, I'm double-jointed, so I can't really snap. I can create fire other ways though," she said, not deciding to show him an example. Shari breathed in the salty air.

"So, wanna do something to pass the time? You seem to want to do something," she commented. She was as bored as he was, with nothing to do, but sit back and watch the sea roll.

"Oh, but how else can you create fire?" Dean asked. He had no idea being double jointed meant you couldn't really snap. he could snap easily, so he guessed he wasn't double-jointed.

"Sure, what did you have in mind? I'm up for anything." Dean said with a smile. It was true, he was so bored, he'd go jump into the sea if he wanted to, but he wasn't in the mood to at the moment.

"Blow a bit of air, rub my hands together, but snapping creates sparks," she cocked her head as she said it. "Many ways that I probably didn't discover yet, but by did I get a surprise when I was cold and my hands suddenly came on fire."

"I dunno. Run around the place, kick things around, play hide-and-seek," she said, half-joking half-not. "Sneak around the raillings. See if you can fall. I dunno."

Dean listened to the ways Shari could create fire. It was interesting, in a way. "That's cool."

"Wow, I haven't played hide-and-seek since i was, like, ten years old...jeez. Well, which would you prefer to do? Again, I'm up for anything."

"Sort of," she gave an airy smile, and then began to think.

"Run around, fall into the sea, get all dirty, watch the stars, or find constellations, or we can cloud-watch but you can't do that at night well," at that, she looked up and stared at the nonexistant clouds. "Yeah, I'm up for anything; I'm pretty bored. That or we can go back to the school and do homework..."
