Her black eyes stared coldly at the lake. She wondered how the temperature felt on this day. She sat on the grass in a long skirt and a short sleeved blouse. Her feet were just barely out of range of the lake. The more she stared at it, the more enticing it was to swim. There were no more tears; her face felt awfully dry. There was barely a breeze today. Her long raven black hair trailed down her back as usual. This campus was not her home nor was it her school anymore. She gave up on it after graduation. If they couldn't help her, then who would?
Wakanda found herself in one of her darker states and was unable to put on even the slightest of smiles. She couldn't bring herself to face people and instead let herself fade into the crowd as she wandered here. She was a rich wanderer without purpose; she escaped from her fabulous dollhouse and went out to play where she shouldn't. She should be within her gilded cage right now, not sitting by a lake mourning over how useless she was. Yet that's exactly what she was doing. She couldn't bring herself to get up or even to pick up the pebbles nearby. Occasionally she skipped them across the lake as best as she could, but she couldn't do that now.
Perhaps the girl curled up into a ball by the lake would seem like a lonely sight. It was straight out of one of those bully victim scenes. Though the only bully that existed was the one inside her mind; her depression. At this point, she didn't even feel sad. Just apathetic.
