In mid-august of 2018, the Twelve Gods announced their presence on Manta Carlos at an unofficial graduation party. Their message was simple: They were forgotten, abandoned gods, with no people of their own. Without belief, they could not sustain themselves, and with only a single artifact each, they could not last. They wished to prove to Manta Carlos that there was a place for deities like themselves, and that they could improve the islander's lives.
Each god was represented by a single artifact, and would be acting in a single month. They would also grant boons to the island. For some, the boon would be all - for others, only those who believed.
August 2019 Edit: Please see this post for a more up to date list of boons.

Miss August: Akechi Abara, a young girl. God of messengers and paths. Of all the gods, the one who speaks the most, ferrying messages from the other gods to the people. They were the one who announced the presence of the gods to the people of Manta Carlos.
Miss August's Boons are given freely to anyone who would wish for them. Laying out nine identical objects and speaking her name will summon her. If you give her the objects, she will deliver a message to anyone in the world for you without fail. Her other boon is more easily found: The walking path between the school and the city is now enchanted. Walking between the two now takes only a minute or two, making it faster than the usual bus.
The other gods did not reveal themselves, promising to come later. However, several artifacts were seen, and there was plenty of speculation on who other other gods could be.

Mister September: A four foot tall squirrel in a variety of hats. A trickster god, and god of small mammals (mostly squirrels). Mischievous, but not malicious, they are amused by jokes, pranks, and other trouble people get into. They were the second god to make themselves known on the island, and they did so by hijacking the airwaves to announce a challenge: A large hedge maze, with prizes at the end. They announced their boons at the Festival of Borne Fruit in October.
Mister September's Boons are given freely to anyone who would wish for them. Someone who wishes to curry September's favor need only lay out some acorns on their doorstep. Doing so will cause local squirrels to keep pests (mice, bugs, etc) from entering the house. The acorns should be offered every few days to keep the squirrel's favor. Their other boon is more prominent and hard to avoid: Anyone who liters out in nature will find their garbage returned to them in unfortunate ways, mostly shoved under doors or stuffed into mailboxes.
—-
October: An androgyonous, beautiful young person with long blonde hair and the horns and ears of a sheep, October is not fussed by any pronouns anyone chooses to use for them. They are a god of life, new and abundant, but have long since been unable to affect the fertility of sapient beings. They are a musician, an archer, and a lover of games and competitions.
October's Boons: For everyone who grows fruiting plants, they will be found to produce more and healthier fruit without the need of magic or chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Likewise, anyone who composts regularly will find a bundle of in season fresh herbs and spices on their doorstep every Tuesday morning.

Miss November: A sad looking woman of indeterminate age with pallid skin and white hair. She wears a simple black dress and an ornate silver mask over her eyes. She is nervous and shy and easily flustered. She cries gemstones that turn to ash when they touch a surface other than herself or another person's hand. She is a goddess of the Underworld, both the deceased and the actual under the earth.
November's Boons: Gravemarkers, urns, and mausoleums don't tarnish, weather, or break so long as they aren't defiled. Likewise anyone who wears melanite at the time of their death will be allowed to pass on a message to their loved ones.
—-
Mister December: A grandfatherly old man with a long but well maintained beard, braided down. Soft, grey-blue eyes wrinkled at the corners. Long white-blue hair that matches his beard. Wears a lot of furs and fur trimmed clothes. Carries a splintered wooden staff held together by magical ice. He is quick to smile, and friendly to all he meets. His anger is slow to come, but fierce when it arrives. He is a god of both winter and kindness.
December's Boons: Ice will no longer form on pathways. Not on streets, or sidewalks, or anywhere else. If you place an oak twig inside a structure made of snow, be it a snowman or snowfort, it will not melt until the first day of spring.
—-
Ms. January: A breathtaking Chinese woman done up in intricate makeup, stunning clothes, and an ornate headdress. Is deeply upset that all the holidays of Love are in February, and aims to right that wrong. A bit of a lush.
January's Boons: Love letters you send will be delivered instantly, as soon as you put them in the mail. If you plant a flower with a coin and say the name of a loved one, the flower will bloom into a full bouquet for their birthday.
—-
February: A shapeshifter with a penchant for water-themed guises, he's a bit of a party animal at heart. He crashed January's party, and then hosted a summer beach bash in the midst of February. A shameless flirt.
February's Boons: Ships carrying new arrivals to the island always find safe, smooth passage. If you place a cleaned seashell inside a salt shaker, you'll have an endless supply of sea salt.
—-
March: A cute, child-like faun with live wooden antlers and flowers crowning his head. God of Spring and God of the Hunt. A competitive soul who's a natural born tracker and lover of all puzzles and hunts. He's on the quieter side and isn't as prone to coming out in social gatherings but he's much more at home in nature.
March's Boons: A beautiful white stag will appear to anyone lost in the woods and lead them out. If you place a piece of antler where you keep meat it will take twice as long to spoil. But only meat that was obtained from a hunt.
—-
Travanj: A young woman with a variable appearance. A tech-head to her core, April is not what most people would expect from a god of magic and secrets. She enjoys games, both digital and verbal, and is rarely seen.
April's Boons: Phones, laptops, and other mobile devices charge twice as fast on the island. For those who seek it, Wyspr is a new app about sharing secrets, letting people get things off their chest.
—-
May and June: May is a petite woman of arguably Chinese descent with tattoos resembling eyes that follow the waxing and waning of the moon. June is a large man, possibly Middle Eastern, with fiery red hair. They are married to one another and have almost parental roles to the other members of the Twelve. They are both fairly showy, but June is more prone to hamming it up.
May and June's Boons: Their boons are a bit more powerful and require more maintenance, so they have combined them together. First for all on the island, mundane damage from the sun is no longer a concern. No more sunburn, but this unfortunately does not affect supernatural weaknesses.
For those who need to use them, moon clinics are now enchanted. Those inside a moon clinic are no longer affected by the phase of the moon, allowing werewolves and other beings to ride out the full moon without the need for a messy or painful transformation.
Each god was represented by a single artifact, and would be acting in a single month. They would also grant boons to the island. For some, the boon would be all - for others, only those who believed.
