Impersonal kind of seems to be the point, you know? Supposedly makes it easier to share the secrets.

Guess I will. Kind of like confessional, I guess. Only I'm not Catholic. Uh... I guess I'll start with one that probably everyone has guessed anyway. I think I'm in love with my best friend. Like. Since kids best friend. Only he's way too good for me. Total babe compared to plain old me.

I can kind of relate, I guess. Growing up I had... I guess a crush? On someone like that. Sort of my best friend. Then I grew some taste and realized he was kind of an asshole. I think it's pretty common, honestly.

he's not though. I've known him basically my whole life and he's such a sweet guy. And sensitive. But I'm afraid I'll make things weird, you know? Oh uh anyway. I guess was that your secret? The thing about your friend? I didn't think it'd get back to me so quickly.

No, not really. I think I'd tell anyone that, if they asked, but not many people know him. More likely it'd come up like... well, like this. You should confess to your friend, though. If you're real friends, your friendship will manage to carry on even if he does reject you.

Maybe he'll be surprised and say yes.

I guess my secret is just more... serious?

I guess a part of me doubts the island. What it's for. We let a lot of bad people walk around the island these days. People who've done awful things. It's not really something you can say, though. Its... uncouth? To say that. To question why you have serial killers just walking around like its nothing.
