Private Written Secrets

He'd sigh. "Again?" he'd stand, "I'm gonna go check in the bathroom mirror." He'd gotten good at wrapping them, but had been slipping a bit as of late. Rowan would leave the cafeteria, finding the bathroom he'd look at the mirror, letting out a frustrated huff when he realized they were fine.

The bandaged boy would make his way back to the cafeteria, freezing up when he saw Lizzy reading his notebook. Closing his he'd quickly approach her, snatching the book from her hands.

"Y'know....its fuckimg rude to take other people's things," he'd shove it back into his bag.

"Well ask before you look," he'd say with a frustrated sigh. "Were my bandages even messed up?" he'd ask, glaring at her a little bit.

"I'm fine Lizzy," he'd say, "I'm perfectly fine." He was very much not fine, but he wasn't going to admit that.

"They're nothing," he'd say when asked about the symbols. "Just....something for a class."

He'd snort. "Lizzy....were teenagers...homework always hurts our head," he'd say, hoping a joke might make her loose interest.

"Its uh....its for a magic class," he'd tell her, sipping his drink. "Yeah, just homework and notes for it," he's say, taking a chip from Lizzy's bag and popping it into her mouth.

"Anyways, uh...what have you been up to?" he'd ask, trying to change the subject.

"Lizzy.....were in a magic show," he'd say, "theres all kinds of magic classes here." He'd say, not really answering the question, but maybe deflected it enough.

He'd grab another chip and eat it before returning to his own lunch. "What.....what project is that?" he'd ask, squinting at her. "Not something to destructive I hope."

Rowan would pull the top bread off his hot sauce and coat the sandwich's contents with hot sauce. "Just....don't hurt anyone ok?"

"Yeah," he'd sigh, leaning a cheek on his hand, "I'll be ok." In truth he was running out of potential options to help with his eldritch situation, but he wasn't about to tell her that.

He'd raise an eyebrow. "A YouTube channel?" now that surprising, he knew she was in the drama club, but YouTube was different. "Why a YouTube channel?" he'd ask her.

Rowan would lean back a little. "Is it gonna an island only thing? Like so you can talk about magic and such?"
