He'd plot down in his seat, in a corner off to the side on his own. Setting his lunch down he'd look over the cafeteria, pulling out a notebook he'd quickly jot something down before setting it to the side.

Rowan would start in on his lunch eating quietly, even closing his eyes as he let his thoughts wander. In the past he'd just eaten in his room, but lately he'd been wandering out. @Big Jeffe

Lizzy

Lizzy tended to be pretty quick when it came to lunch. Get to the cafeteria early, get lunch, and then go hang out with Shiro while they ate lunch. As long as Shiro wasn't the one actually making her lunch.

But today, she just so happened to spot a familiar face sitting alone in a corner. Sliding into an open seat, she'd smirk at Rowan, "Hey smokey. What are you up to?" She'd ask, popping a chip into her mouth. "By the way, you still got a little snow on you." Even though he actually didn't, Lizzy wanted to see his reaction.

He'd open his eyes, seeing Lizzy, frowning at the new nickname. "It's not like I feel the cold,", he'd say with a sigh, brushing at his shoulders, that's where the snow usually ended up.

"Not eating with Shiro?" he'd ask, taking a drink of his water, tapping his finger on the cup a little. "Thought you two would be doing gooey couple stuff he'd say with a snicker."

Lizzy frowned and pouted a little bit at that reaction. "What? When you left the Community Center last time, you literally had smoke coming off of you. That's why I called you smokey." She said.

She shrugged when asked why she wasn't with Shiro. "I could ask you the same thing about Chi." She said, "Besides, you almost never eat lunch here, and I'm sure Shiro won't mind. I'll even text her." She said, sending Shiro a quick text letting her know she couldn't make it to their usual lunch spot.

He'd snort. "So what if I did?" that had been a stressful incident. "I don't give you nicknames based on your powers," it certainly would be easy given her abilities and the trouble it'd.

Rowan didn't say anything when Chi was brought, he just glanced down before taking a drink of his water. "She'll be ok with that?" he'd ask when Lizzy sent the text.

The bandaged boy would open a bag of pretzels, eating one of them. "Anyways....did you need something?"

Lizzy shrugged."Hey, I wouldn't complain if you did, but fine. I'll quit calling you sm.. that." She wasn't shy about her powers or what they did, despite the trouble they caused. Hell, she'd even taken a liking to the nickname of "puppeteer."

"I mean, I eat lunch with her every day. I'm sure she won't mind if I skip a day or two." Lizzy said, before raising an eyebrow when Rowan asked what she wanted. "What? Am I not allowed to talk to a friend during lunch?" Lizzy asked. Sure, she may not have had the best relationship with Rhett, or even, Dela at times. But she liked to think she was on pretty good terms with Rowan and Chi.

"I......," he'd sigh, "you are, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be an ass." He'd lean back a bit running his hands over her eyes. "I just didn't sleep good last night," though he rarely slept good anyways.

"So, uh how have things been going with you two?" he'd ask, "I....I've only seen you two together a few times, but you seem really happy with her."

He'd take a sip of his drink. "Its really good to see you happy Lizzy."

Lizzy nodded. "It's going well, actually. She's.." She took a deep breath. "She's really nice.. And yeah, I'm happy with her, and she's happy with me." It felt weird saying that out loud, a part of her felt like she didn't deserve to have Shiro as her girlfriend. That she didn't deserve to be happy.

She'd shift a little when Rowan said it was good seeing her happy. Hopefully he didn't see she was uncomfortable. "Well.. What about you? I know putting up with me and Rhett can be tiring. You and Chi doing any better?"

"That's good," he'd smile a bit, "I'm happy for you." He wanted to seen his friends to be happy, even if at times it meant he couldn't be happy.

He'd sigh, "yeah....the arguments can be tiring." It felt like Lizzy and Rhett argued every single time they saw each other, with Rowan or Avram having to try and keep the peace.

Rowan would actually frown for just a moment when asked about him and Chi, but just for a moment. "Everything's fine," he'd say, "y'know....things always work out."

Lizzy nodded. "Well, I'm here if you ever want my help." Lizzy said with a shrug. She really liked Chi and Rowan as couple, and she was willing to do just about anything to keep them together.

Taking a sip of her drink, she'd notice the notebook sitting on the table, the same one that Rowan had been writing in when they'd last met in Community Center. "Hey, Rowan? I think your bandages are coming off." She said motioning towards her face. They weren't, but even if they were, he wouldn't be able to tell, or even feel it. And he was eating anyways.

Once he stepped away, she'd quickly start flipping through the book. She really wanted to know what he was so intent on hiding in there. But the book was full of what seemed like the ramblings of Rowan's voices, paired with strange symbols, and writing about some kind of ritual.

"What the fuck.." Lizzy whispered under her breath as she flipped through the pages, not even noticing Rowan was already back.
