Eloi could hear the comforting words of Abigail, and see that Deacon was trying to be there for her, but a little lost. She wasn't stupid, she knew they cared for her. But... She was afraid to let them care for her, and she was afraid to care for them back. What if she really because close to these people and then she injured them, or killed them? She would never be able to forgive herself.

It tore her heart to see people she cared about hurt, and in at her merciless powers will. What kind of person could allow people to be put in danger because of a power they couldn't control? Eloi couldn't do that. Not to these people. They were too kind for her to let them.

"You won't be killing anybody. I can start helping you with your powers whenever you want."

Eloi looked up at the Head Mistress through her tears, and she nodded slowly, her tears becomng tears of joy, as she again tried to express her gratitude through words she couldn't speak. "Thank you..." Sending her thoughts to Abigail. But she continued to look at the Head Mistress, "I...I'm worried about Deacon. I... I know you can handle yourself... But... I don't think.... If I went out of control again... He'd be okay.... Please... Send him away? I... I don't want to harm him." Her thoughts were full of regret and sorrow. She didn't want to lose him, yet she didn't want to hurt him either.

It was true, he didn't understand all the things she was going through, the guilt she would carry if anything happened to him. She... she cared for him too much to allow him to stay around her. Maybe when she became more stable... She didn't know. She didn't know if she could handle having him around. Eloi was so deathly scared of hurting Deacon that she wouldn't allow herself to be around him, or any other student before she was absolutely certain that she wouldn't harm them.

Abigail noted Deacon's silence. Poor boy... this was such a horrible incident. That was why she was so determined to fix it — well, if fix was even the correct term. There wasn't a way to 'fix' powers... so she would just have to help Eloi control them so she wouldn't have to be alone for her whole life. The Headmistress didn't even want to imagine the amount of guilt she had to be feeling.

"I...I'm worried about Deacon. I... I know you can handle yourself... But... I don't think.... If I went out of control again... He'd be okay.... Please... Send him away? I... I don't want to harm him."

It was so selfless of Eloi to want Deacon to be sent away just so she wouldn't hurt him. If Abigail had been in that position, she probably would have wanted as many people around as she could have stood. "Alright..." she said, offering the teenager a smile. Even though she probably wouldn't be able to hurt the male in her weakened state, especially with Abigail around, she figured she might as well just do as she wanted.

"Deacon," she started, "could you leave for a bit? I'd like to talk to Eloi." It was something to be said just so he wouldn't get upset. "It won't be long."

Deacon just stood there quietly, for once, that was until Abigail had something to him. She asked for him to leave the room, but why!? Well, she is the Headmistress. He figured there would be no point in debating it. He just shrugged and nodded slightly. He then got up from his seat and walked over to the door, looking back at Eloi before opening it. He walked out then closed the door behind him. He too had concern for Eloi, but there was nothing he could do to help. He resented himself for all this as he waited outside.

As Deacon left, Eloi feared it might be the last time she'd ever see him again. Especially if she were to successfully keep him safe. She offered him a small smile as he left, and then turned to Abigail again.

"Thank you," she projected into Abigail's thoughts. Eloi crumbled the sheets of the bed slightly in her hands and bit her lip. She slunk down slightly, as she thought about how Deacon must be feeling. Though, she thought that Abigail had really handled the situation well.
