You're SUCH a baby. There's nothing here that's gonna kill you. And you're NOT gonna get in trouble. Tristan sighed. If he had been on the outside, which was a rare occurrence, he wouldn't have hesitated to enter this place. His other side, however, always had to look on the down side to things. Why couldn't he just have a little fun?

"Fine, fine!" Damien said quietly, giving in. He looked up at the huge trees and gulped, slowly walking into the forest. He stuffed his pale hands into his pockets, folding his small, bone-wings over his back. As always, his light brown hair covered his face, so it was somewhat hard to see, but he managed not to trip over anything. Well, he hadn't tripped over anything yet, at least.

He wished he hadn't walked in here, but what could he have done? If he hadn't, Tristan would have taken over and done it himself. Even if he didn't want to be here, he would have had to anyway, and the young man would rather be in control when they were out here than be on the inside.

So, he merely continued walking, hoping he wouldn't come across anything life-threatening, but knowing he might.

Damien blinked when he noticed the younger boy walking past him, and like the kid, was far too shy to say anything. Besides, if he did, he knew Tristan was going to be angry. So, he merely continued walking; well, until his other self decided to make a comment.

Oh, good! You're finally learning! Yep, just ignore him and keep walking. For once, Tristan actually sounded pleased when he said that. His voice still had a hint of sarcasm in it like it always did, though.

The young man's eyes narrowed. He wasn't going to give his other side the pleasure of knowing that he could give in so easily. Damien turned around and looked at the child again, deciding to just say hello. A greeting couldn't hurt, right? It would get Tristan angry, true, but oh, well. "Hi..." he said quietly to the vampire.

So childish! Ugh... well, if you're only saying hi, then fine. But don't get into a conversation, or I'll take over and start going through this place myself.

The boy bit the inside of his lip upon hearing this, but didn't say anything in response.

You got your response. Now GO! Tristan growled. I don't feel like waiting around because YOU want to have a conversation!

Damien knew that this was probably his last warning, but he decided to keep talking to Ion anyway. He didn't have many, if even any, friends here, and he didn't plan on having Tristan be the only person he ever talked to. "I'm Damien," he said. "Where are you headed?"

Don't you find it even the tinniest bit odd that someone else just HAPPENS to be walking through the forbidden? What if he ends up being one of the reasons this place is off limits? Just leave already.

He was tempted to respond to his other side, but didn't do so. He didn't want to seem like he was talking to himself, and even though ignoring Tristan would most likely get him even angrier, Damien didn't really care.

Yes! Now he had a chance to get out of this place! Damien nodded, and looked around before looking back to the younger male. "I could — " He had been about to offer to show Ion where the school was, but got cut off by Tristan before he could finish.

Oh, no! We're staying here!

The boy's eyes turned green and his hair darkened somewhat. Damien swallowed, doubting his eyes could be seen but knowing his hair could. "Don't...." he said quietly, hoping it would be inaudible to the vampire, but unsure whether he actually heard that or not.

And why shouldn't I? Who cares about some little lost kid? He'll find his way out eventually.

Damien sighed softly, trying to fight back his other side from taking over. Soon enough, his eyes returned to their normal light brown color and his hair lightened again. Well, he was safe for now. He cleared his throat and went on to say what he had before. "Um... as... as I was saying before... do you need any help getting to the school? I... I could help you if you want..." he said.

Damien nodded. "I'll help you get there," he said, and started walking back toward the academy. He bit the inside of his lip, desperately trying to keep Tristan from taking control. He didn't know how much longer he could last, though, seeing as how his hair and eyes had changed color only a few moments ago.

You'd better come back here after bringing that little brat to the school. If you don't... well, I'll just take over for a few days.

The boy gulped. "I will, I will," he muttered. He looked back at Ion, waiting for him to follow.
