Nearly two weeks.

Two weeks and no communication.

Honestly, could anyone be surprised? Scott had been avoiding the other male around school as much as possible - which actually was not hard since he was in a higher grade. A years difference actually did a lot in terms of schedules and for now Scott was 100% grateful for such a divide. He needed time to figure it out. To figure him out. Why were things suddenly hard to deal with and people suddenly hard to read on this island? Humans were so pathetically easy to talk to an manipulate back in the states - why was it hard now? Was it because people weren't always just people? They were dragons and nymphs and other demons and nightmares-- what was the difference? They almost all had the same emotional scale as humans.

This confusion had quickly turned into frustration that only grew as Scott took his sweet time trying to figure this out. School had been out for a few hours already but it remained open for the students who lived on campus to work. Scott had a habit of walking the hallways like some shojo anime when he needed to think. With all the empty rooms and broken desks, few found him among the dust and dirt. Those who did would merely walk off to find another room, whether it be for quiet or for practice or something he really would rather not think about.

Scott sat at the wall below a window. The window was clean from maintenance outside but Scott could practically breathe nothing but the fine layer of dust that settled over the scape. Scott's meddling was only clear by the areas of dust with thinner areas or where there was a shape of his shoes. His head was leaned back, a pair of thick headphones on his ears blasting music so loud one might yell at him for such volumes and how much damage they could do. Scott didn't care. This body could regenerate. He wasn't particularly attached to this one anyway.

His backpack was haphazardly sprawled beside him with it's contents laying half out of it. The notebooks and pencils suggest he had been doing homework but the broken lead pieces suggested he gave up out of frustration. Of course his Pandora Radio had decided to screw him over and play nothing but songs that only made him think back on the problem he had been trying to distract himself from; Auden. Auden and romance to be specific. The reminder made him slightly angry. Why couldn't he figure this out? Why couldn't the son of envy figure out another male? Why was it only really this one major person who left him stumped?

Okay so, this weirded him out a bit. For Auden, he wasn't really as in tune with his emotions as he claimed to be. He was forgetful, unsure of the feet beneath him. Auden just wanted to be loved- but his methods for doing so weren't so orthodox. If he was honest with himself, he missed Scott. He missed the way that their hands fit together, that they had some weird unspoken of connection to one another. Did all of that really matter? No, not to everyone it seemed. Scott had been avoiding him for a while now; which of course made Auden's own feelings towards him unstable.

He wasn't going to let Scott just slip away from him, though. When he had a clear view of the other man, Auden had very descreetly followed him into whatever room he had chosen. He watched for a while, almost being mesmerized by the demons movements. The way his hair flowed, and his eyes moved; it was a big turn on. With enough willpower to reveal himself, he stepped out of the shadows and stood in the doorway, proud and unwavering. "Why've you been avoiding me?"

Now this was certainly not the kind of encounter that he expected.

Truth be told, Scott really did not want to have any kind of encounter until he could figure it all out. But he took a breath and slipped off his headphones. The headphones blared a muffled version of some alternative song, and then an annoying commercial for ad free music. He put his arms on the knees bent up during when he sat. Giving a deadpan expression, Scott looked over the Raven Mocker.

What queue's was he missing?

"Why have you bothered to notice?" Scott countered. "Thought you hated me. You're the one who stormed off." Despite his even tone, there was an edge to his words. A challenge. Was Scott trying to start a fight or was he just this much of a pain in the ass? Taking a good look at him, Scott was less of a put together demon than he gave the impression of. His button up was a school shirt, ruffled like he had worn it for two days. His jacket had a few patches on it that were darker, which could be anything from stains to tears if you wanted to go that far.

He clenched his fist, snarling at the other boy. "I stormed off cause you were being a little shit, Scott." He went over, slamming his hand on the desk and leaning into him. "I don't fucking hate you. Idiot." Auden flicked his head hard. "Last time I checked I was pretty much begging to kiss you- but you seemed like you had some issues to work out, right?" He gave off a pissy vibe. "So it's cute that you think being all alone in this room is nice and all, but come on." Auden out their foreheads together with a nudge, staring him down. "So, have you made up your mind if you want me, or do I have to best an answer out of you?"

Scott narrowed his eyes when his forehead was flicked, knowing the familiar sting of nails scrapping against his skin. Wasn't the first time he was scratched. He frowned as the young man pushed their foreheads together and demanded an answer right then and there. The growling and slamming of hands on hardwood desks that creaked under the weight of its assault - Scott found himself unaffected by it all. Auden was trying to intimidate him but he forgot one thing.. Scott had seen the worst of souls suffer in his home realm. This was pretty much nothing.

Instead of doing the smart thing and giving an answer or even an excuse to buy himself time, Scott played the eye contact game. His oddly colored eyes just stared at Audens sunglasses, staring through them. He was going to refuse to answer.

This little shit. This fucking little shit. He growled at him, waiting for a total of a minute before he got too impatient. With that, he lowered his glasses just enough to see his eyes. "I want you to tell me how you truly feel about me." It was a simple command, one her he hoped wouldn't be easily overrided. That wasn't too much to ask, right? Scott was just a stubborn thing that didn't want to play this little game of who likes who. If this didn't work, he'd just punch him a few times.

This was a delightful turn of events, Scott must admit.

He felt this peculiar magnetic pull in his chest that told him to loosen his tongue. Was someone really using their ability on him? That's honestly quite rude. Scott's eyes narrowed for a split second as if he was scrutinizing this behavior. It was unclear if the son of envy was actually resisting giving an answer or if Auden had been successful in actually speaking up about it.

"I genuinely do not know." Came his reply, rolling off his tongue with a weird amount of ease. It was not a lie, not at all - in fact it was pure truth. Scott had no idea. At least, in his own mind. Scott had a mix of emotions and he was not sure what they all translated to. He couldn't find out why his hand got sweaty when clasping Auden's or why he plastered that smart ass smirk on his face all the time.

That wasn't the answer he was hoping for. He blinked at Scott, wondering why such a weird answer had come out of his mouth. Were those his true feelings? In a sense, Auden felt a bit hurt- like he wasn't good enough. "Oh." He ushered out, taking a moment to fully understand the answer. Auden pushed his glasses back up, knowing that it was useless now. "Well, if you don't know then... Want to try kissing me?" The boy flushed, eager to see if a kiss from him would have any affect at all. He pushed whatever was in the way and placed himself on Scott's lap. "Even if you don't feel anything, it may help you." Maybe he was being forceful, but he couldn't help but entwine two of their hands together too.

An all understanding of how things got to where they are went out the door.

A warmth held his hands, a weight placing itself in his lap. The offer of a kiss sprawled out in front of him. It took him a moment to fully comprehend what was being offered here, as he seemed to be a little too lost in his own mind searching for an answer that he wasn't sure he would really get.

Fingers flexed in his partners grip, gently tapping a half rhythm against the back of his palm. Scott marveled at how soft the hands of a fighter were in his. For someone so forward and who could be violent, Scott found himself staring up at the shade-clad face of a blushing raven mocker. He almost seemed delicate... Would a kiss help him figure this out? Scott couldn't tell. Why couldn't he have been born with the ability to see the future?

Outwardly, Scott just blinked as he transitioned his gaze from their hands to his partners face. One hand untangled itself from Audens, reaching up to move the sunglasses away. If he was going to do this, he was going to do this on his own terms.

Ah, what a warm feeling it was to have that rythmatic tapping. it made him feel safe, for some reason. "Cute." He said in a muttered tone as he stared. As Scott moved his glasses away from his face, Auden couldn't help but flush even more. Why was he getting so attached to someone that couldn't even figure out what they were? "My eyes are weird." He glanced away for a second, before grinning happily. "You make the move."
