Adelina climbed up the stone steps that led up to the roof. She was wearing a black jacket, but it wasn't really heavy. She hadn't wanted to wear it, but October wouldn't let her leave without wearing it. Her little sister worried so much sometimes... she sighed and shook her head at the thought, opening the door that led to the roof and going out onto it. She shivered a little, but quickly got used to the temperature. She was used to the cold, being an ice elementalist and all.

Brown hair was tied up as it always was, and she was wearing jeans, sneakers, and a black long-sleeved shirt underneath the jacket. Wearing black wasn't unusual for the fifteen-year-old, soon to be sixteen-year-old. It was her favorite color, after all. She remained standing, not wanting to sit down; she might sit down eventually, but not right now. She looked up at the sky, which was currently colored gray from clouds. It would probably rain, or snow; she was hoping snow. That would mean winter was on it's way, which she had been waiting for all summer long; in fact, she had been waiting for it since last winter ended. It was early, since it was only October, but she could hope, couldn't she?

She sighed, and just stood there in the silence, looking down at the grounds and all around the area. This place seems a lot different when you're here in the afternoon... she thought to herself.

Andrew lazily sauntered up the steps, looking for his sister. He had decided that she might be on the roof. She'd always had a thing for heights. The cool autumn air hit his face suddenly and he shivered, glad for his winter coat.

He saw a girl standing by herself and he jogged over. "Hey...have you seeen my sister?" He asked. "She basically looks like me. Except well...she's a girl."

Adelina heard more steps coming up the stairs, and rolled her eyes. Oh, great, company. This would be fun; she couldn't get a moment alone in this place, could she? Of course not... she thought to herself with a sigh. She turned her eyes to the door, a slightly annoyed expression on her face as she looked at the male that came to the roof.

She watched as he jogged over. Oh, fun, conversation. An eyebrow raised a bit when he mentioned having a sister. "Um, no," she said. Why was he even talking to her? "I don't think I have. I don't even know you. What? Am I supposed to remember every person I see around here?" She rolled her eyes again. She always acted like this, and she didn't plan on changing any time soon.

Andrew shrugged. "Nope, I guess not. He started to leave. He obviously wasn't going to find Dani by standing around up there, having a totally pointless conversation. He took one step, then stopped and turned around. "I'm Andrew, by the way. Wouldn't hurt to be nice.

Well, that hadn't taken long. Adelina almost smirked when he took one step away, but kept it off her lips. Finally, she could have some peace and quiet, and be alone. However, that thought disappeared when he turned back around and introduced himself. She didn't bother stopping herself from sighing, and decided she might as well introduce herself as well, even though she didn't want to. "The name's Adelina," she said. "Call me Addie if you want to, Andrew. Almost everyone does."

Andrew nodded. He hesitated before asking, "Are you always this rude?

He was used to Dani being rude, but that was different. At least she was a loud rude. Addie was just...quiet.

An eyebrow raised somewhat before the young woman rolled her eyes again. "Oh, no, I'm only rude to you, no one else," she said, obviously being sarcastic. It could be told by her tone of voice, and by the look on her face. Some people just didn't understand that sometimes, there were people that were always rude, no matter what the situation; she was guessing that Andrew was one of those people, but she wasn't sure, since she had only known him for about a minute. "Yes, I'm always this rude, to everyone. Unless I like the person, then I'm less rude... but so far, I don't like you." She shrugged her shoulders after speaking, as if just saying that was nothing.

Andrew crossed his arms. "That's too bad." He debated whether to leave or to stay, for she obviously didn't want to talk to him. He decided to stay. "How old are you?" He asked, determined to either annoy her so badly she pushed him off the roof, or to get her to not be so rude.

Adelina blinked for a second when he said that it was too bad. What was that supposed to mean? Oh, no, don't tell me he's STAYING! she thought to herself with an inward sigh. She didn't say anything though, and was silent for about a minute when he asked her old she was. Maybe if she didn't say anything, he would leave... but she decided to speak anyway. Sighing, she rolled her eyes and answered. "Fifteen, turning sixteen at the end of the month. And what business is that of yours?"

She's ruder than I thought! Andrew shook his head slightly. "None, I guess. Just trying to be conversational." He paused, not going to say anything else, but decided that wasn't the way to get her to talk. She had a nice voice to listen to, even if it was rude. "Have a date for the fall ball yet?" He figured that she couldn't keep saying "What business is it of yours" after every question.
