Claire had found the perfect spot, away from the wind, from most prying eyes, and more. It was right beside the lake too, but also in the trees. They had a perfect view of the lake from here it was, and of the school. It was quiet too, at least as quiet as it could be. She sighed and looked over at Sean, who looked a bit cold. She got away from him to do up her coat, and to have some breathing room. She was finally where she loved to be, the safest place she felt. She put her head against a tree, closing her eyes. She didn't care to talk to Sean at that moment, all she wanted was to enjoy where she was.

She could smell the frozen water that was not too far away, the pine smell from the trees. She sighed and enjoyed it for a second longer, until opening her eyes. She looked down at the basket, wanting to up it, eat until she couldn't anymore. She wrapped herself up with her arms, trying to be as warm as she could on her own. She walked over to the caved in part of the trees and sat down, as if it had been a big effort to move. She looked up at Sean, smiling. "Do you want help setting up?" She kind of wanted to take the basket, set it all up herself, but at the same time she didn't want to seem demanding. She sighed and longed for Sean to be close to her, she was freezing. She was about to ask but then stopped and knew he would come to her eventually.

"Not much to set up really." Grinning, Sean sat next to her on the blanket and leaned back, pulling the basket to them as he put his hand gently around her back to rest on her hip. "We should probably just pull the food out as we eat it instead of laying it all out. Too cold for that." Sighing as he breathed in the nice, cool air, the young, smitten man pulled out some food and began to eat. Honestly, he didn't have much of an appetite, he'd much rather dote upon the girl sitting next to him but he figured they should go through the motions.

As soon as he was done munching, Sean leaned back and smiled at her to wait till she was done. "I think its so nice out, we should just stay here for a bit. And when you're done eating the grass is dry and soft, why don't we just lay here under this blanket?"

Claire smiled uneasily for some reason. She thought that maybe being somewhere that had brought her so many memories, made her sad or distant if she was with someone. Maybe that was it, or maybe she didn't like the thought of being alone. She sighed and nibbled on a bit of food, nodding and thinking. "Yeah okay." She was out of it, not really realizing that he was even there. She shook her head, and looked down. She had no idea what he had said. She sighed a bit and laughed, looking at the ground.

It was obvious to Sean that something was wrong. Putting both his arms around Claire, he tilted her head up. "What's going on? Is everything alright?" he asked, lacing his words with as much compassion as he could to make her feel at ease. "I hope there's something I can do, I hate it when you look sad." This was an image he really didn't like, the poor girl was clearly upset by something and she was so pretty. It was a crime.

She sighed, not wanting to look at him. "I just, I don't know if we are going to fast with all of this, or something." She paused and looked down. "I haven't really had time to think of all of this." She closed her eyes. "This place, the woods, the lake, I don't know. They have given me so many memories, that I don't want to ruin it." She shook her head and knew that she probably wasn't making any sense. "I just don't want to have this go wrong, I guess." She shrugged at the ground and then put her head back on the tree. "Do you know what I mean?" She looked into his eyes, not wanting to hurt him, or offend him. "I mean, we are a lot alike in some ways, I just, I am..." She trailed off. "I have never had friends, or really liked people, so I guess I just don't want what I am really like."

Sean took in a deep breath before his spiel, which he knew would sound better if it was all without pause. "I don't want it to go wrong either. But believe me, this is a nice pace. I do understand, it makes a lot of sense, what you're going through right now. But if you don't take risks to preserve your memories then you can't make new ones. Don't worry about anything, I'll try my best to make you happy as can be. I don't much know anything about this stuff myself, but...I'm glad I don't have to figure it out alone."

With this, he stopped and put his hand on the back of her head, stroking Claire's hair while gazing at her. "Just calm down, and take a deep breath. You're safe."

Claire squinted at him. Her true nature was beginning to come back to her. The one that killed anything that touched her. She wanted to hurt him, to run away and leave this place. She wanted to go to the forest, to forget this ever happened. To cry all of this away. She never even wanted to go to this school. She never wanted this life even. maybe she was being over dramatic though. Everything that had happened to her. had turned out alright in the end. She knew she couldn't though. The choice she had made, to trust this guy, had already been made. She just smiled though and nodded, as if all of the things she wanted to happen, wouldn't.

She hugged him tightly and then smiled a bit more behind him. She closed her red, wanting to enjoy the moment, to be happy. She kissed the his ear as she went back to where she was on the tree. She wanted this, or at least had to try to want this. She had to let people care about her, to protect her, even though she didn't want that. She needed someone that would care about her if she were to go missing, which she did a lot. "Thanks." Claire said quietly. She took a deep breath and smiled a bit again.

There was a pause. Almost imperceptible, but with Sean's computer background the smallest blip could tell volumes. Claire was conflicted. About what, he wasn't certain. Her past, perhaps? Or maybe it was simply nervousness. Either way, he had to make her feel better.

"Well, we can't sit around all day Clairebear!" Sean said gleefully as he stood up and began to pack up their used dishes and things. "Let's go off and explore the grounds a bit, shall we?" Putting the basket over his shoulder, Sean reached down towards her. "I'm rather bored and to be honest, I don't usually get out much when people are about. Could be a nice change of pace."

Claire looked up. Explore? The grounds? She loved exploring places, but of course, she was always alone when she did. She smiled a bit and got up on her own, rapping herself up a bit more in her jacket. She sighed a bit and looked down, then met Sean's eyes. So many new things were happening, so many things that she felt she couldn't explain or think about. How was he bored though? She loved being outside, just feeling the wind and smelling the fresh air. She knew that it was because of their pastes, they were different.

She was used to, and really liked the smell of trees, water and more. "Okay." she stared into his eyes politely and looked around. "Where first?" She laughed a bit, trying to be amused. She hoped that they could go somewhere in the woods, though maybe he would be scared or something, she wasn't sure.

Sean thought for a moment, pulling his hand up to his chin as he thought. "Well...I've already seen everything around the grounds that we're allowed in..." A mischievous grin spread across his face. "Let's explore as deep into the woods as we can and see if we can't find anything interesting. I know we're supposed to be allowed into the woods, but I have a feeling there are deeper parts to it. You in?"

With a bit of a yawn, the teenager took her hand and promptly headed towards the trees on the side of the lake to their right.
