Luna trotted through the forest. Her wings were brushing the leaves. It was a bit dense here and she wanted to find somewhere she had more room to move. Luna was always wandering away from the herd. They were always having to send someone after her when she got lost. Again.

This time, she'd gone too far into the forest. She couldn't find her way back home, but that didn't bother the winged mare. She'd never seen this part of the forest before. The herd lived in a much sparser section with a few dense glades. There was even a waterfall. Luna had been born there.

She trotted along, meandering through the trees, drinking in her surroundings.

There was a snap of branches a few metres away. Luna's head shot up. She wondered who it was this time. Her mother, or one of her herdmates. It was usually the big palamino mare who found her.

Someone came into view. But this... This wasn't one of the herd.

The Forbidden Forest was a place the Nyrrava had begun exploring since the year he arrived. He wanted to see what sort of dark creatures roamed the shadows, and what despicable ray of light dared to have itself shine within the darkness.

That was the spirit, but the body was here for another reason, or so it would claim. Ater was an adventurous child, and that sense of adventure carried on in his teenage years. He liked the excitement of traversing dangerous territories. There was something liberating about it. He got to let his black and red hair down as well. The full length of it, just freely drifting along behind him. Well, somewhat. There was a large bead near the end that kept his hair somewhat in line.

Ater's tail swayed as he walked. He found another soul. One that seemed friendly, through the trees. He followed it, curious as to what it could be. It was too far to tell. He wanted to be sneaky and maybe spook whoever it was out here, but alas, he stepped on a branch. The snap being loud enough to catch the creature's attention. He was close enough now, and he was a bit disappointed. A horse.

Wait a minute... are those wings?

"Uhh... I don't suppose you can talk, can you?" This was a pretty legitimate question. You can never tell which animal would talk back to you.

Sky was... Confused, to say the least. He'd seen the whole world several times over, and this island was never there. Before now, the only thing he could remember was a small gap in the sky, an absence of anything, freestanding. Then a rush of colour, and now this. It was still the earth that he knew, but different, in a way. Or at least, this place certainly was. Swooping lower, passing through the branches of the forest below him until he was skimming the ground, Sky let out a screech, just a bit higher than the human ear could detect, and waited.

And he found nothing. No earth spirit came to answer his call. He would normally have around five in front of him by now, even on an island. Well. I must he somewhere else, I guess. An island which doesn't exist, and no spirits to speak of. I suppose finding some sort of senteint life might help me find out where the hell I am, the air spirit thought to himself, allowing his physical form to fade in. After walking for a few minutes, he noticed something. Or more specifically, two things. A person, with abnormally long hair, and a... Tail? I could have sworn Kitsune went extinct ages ago. Strange, Sky observed. There also appeared to be something off about the thing, something which he couldn't really put his finger (metaphorically) on. And, as well as that, there was the Pegasus. Again, he hasn't seen one of them for millennia, after the last few flocks decided to leave earth and into a different world. Lightly landing on the ground nearby, Sky simply asked "Hello?"
