Private Finished Why does this always happen?

"A wife?" Ecta frowned lightly at this as she thought about what he said, "That is a social construct of some sort on this odd planet, isn't it?" she mused, knowing that the term referred to the union of the male and female on this planet.

Hearing that Altizica was not the Altizica she was looking for but a part of him only, made Ecta go quiet for a moment as she considered what that meant.

"That should be fine," she began slowly, having reasoned it out using Eldritch logic which was illogical at best to most beings. "The original Altizica is part of you and therefore that means that you are him, and he is you, and that means any part of him is in you too, " she declared confidently, very satisfied with her conclusion.

When Alt caressed her cheek, Ecta looked at him strangely, somewhat confused by the gesture. She did know that this was some sort of demonstration of affection, but she couldn't quite understand why Alt would show her any.

"But I need that information," she said, trying to reason with him. "I can't leave here til I get it," she told him, trying to make him see it was important that she obtain it.

Anita, bored of reading and playing on her phone, walked into the room. "Dad, is that painting done yet, kay?"

Looking at the woman in the room with Alt using her lap as a Pillow, she frowned. Was this to be her new parent? Looking at her, she seemed eerie, but had nice powers. That was kinda cool. But she was seducing her Father!

Stepping forward, she spoke loudly. "Okay, I'm Anita, Kay. You have to move kay"

Ecta looked up from Altizica to the young girl when she entered the room, unfazed by her sudden appearance and unreasonable demand to move away from Altizica.

"That is quite untrue. I am not your friend, Alt," Ecta corrected him when he was finished talking, peering at him oddly again when he patted her cheek. "Friendship implies a mutual attachment, close relationship or emotional bond of some sort. You and I share neither of those things," she reminded him, a stickler for facts.

Okay, so the Woman seemed kinda alright. She was brutally honest, even if it was insulting to Alt. "Okay, Alt. Can I hang the picture in my room when its done?"

The question was if they weren't close, why was his head on her lap? "What are you to my Dad, Ecta Kay?"

"What am I to Altizica?" Ecta mused, looking thoughtful as she considered Anita's question for a moment. "Well, first and foremost, we are both Eldritch... " as if that explained anything to Anita, though to Ecta it made complete sense.

"Secondly, he took what was rightfully mine, and I aim to get it back..." she added, looking down at Alt with a determined look on her face.

Okay. So she's probably family. Or maybe he really was Alt's Girlfriend? Anita almost smiled, knowing that Alt was going to get married.

Nevermind. She was just trying to get something he had. It was disappointing that she couldn't keep it in her room, but her father's lovelife was more important. "You catalog things by eating right, kay? Why not lick Dad, see if you can get anything, kay?"

Ecta directed her attention at the younger Eldritch, raised an eyebrow at the idea, and smiled faintly, somewhat impressed by the very helpful suggestion.

"At least someone here understands my true plight and is trying to be helpful," she stated, peering down suddenly at Alt and glaring at him somewhat accusingly.

"And shame on you, Altizica," Ecta continued, pursing her lips together disapprovingly. "You could have suggested that yourself," she informed him, rather put out by the fact that he was being so unreasonable as she bent down, getting closer to his face, prepared to lick his face and put Anita's theory into practice.
