'Don't'

There was no way to say who spoke first, William, or the wolf. The boy stepped forward again, fast, grabbing the creature by the neck, and stopping him in mid air as he jumped.

'Don't.', he said again, pushing him down on the ground so the wolf wouldn't lash on the other boy again. There was an advantage in somebody else expressing your anger which was that you could control it, quite literally. When he was sure that the wolf was calm, he stood up, facing the man who said he enjoys buzzing people for fun with his face still flat, emotionless, as if he was simply walking trough a park.

'Don't call him that,', he said again, now a complete sentanc forming in his mouth.'Unless you want 200 hundred pounds of teeth to go down your throat.', there he stopped for a moment, then added. 'Well, not down, exactly. More sideways, and trough it.' Then, he turned around.

"You're right. I wasn't paying attention, kiddo. My bad." '

'It's alright. ', he said, which was, along with everything else, more words than he had said (to another person who wasn't Spirit) in a last month.

For someone who was older, and probably a teacher as well, the black-haired man was pretty laid back, doing nothing even as fight was going to break out, and if William as detached as he was could feel that it meant that the tension in the air was pretty bad. That's why Spirit, now calm after William took control in order to save the other student from his teeth and claws, turned around and looked him in the eye.

'Aren't you going to do something?', he asked, not really willing to let William fight, especially because he was doing a pretty good job provoking the other boy, who could buzz people, still determined not to let his creature, who was supposed to protect him fight.

'So much about appealing to somebody's common sense.', Spirit muttered under his voice as he approached William again. 'Hey, boy. Yo, listen to me.', he bit into William's shirt again, tugging him back. 'Let's get out of here. Come on. You don't want, or can, fight that idiot, especially if he buzzes people for fun. Come on. I know one person in this room knows how to think.'

William ignored him at first, focused on evaluating the other boy, but, as Spirit's teeth ghosted over his skin, he turned around, looking him in the eyes. He stayed like that for a moment, then nodded. 'Alright.', he said, turning his back to the other student.

'Can we go now?', he looked at the black haired man from the corner of his eye.

William took a step towards the exit of the room, and then stopped again, turning around and looking at the mess the other student made properly for the first time. 'Interesting.', he thought looking at wooden dummies. He hadn't fought one ever since he stopped training martial arts.

'Come on, William.', the wolf-creature urged him. 'You can fight a stick some other time. Let's get out of here.' And with that, Spirit left the room.
