"Okay! I have a few securities! Happy now?" She squawked quickly the words flowing off her tongue like water on hairless skin. It was true, Max did have some insecurities but she couldn't understand that everyone had them.
Max was falling weak, William sure had a way of manipulating Gabe and it frustrated her but she had done enough for the day so she did not bother to speak up. It seemed, anyway, the Gabe had a mind of his own and knew how controlling William was; but she did not think that he understood just the depths he had his on.
William was incredibly attractive even Max could not deny this but she did not want him, those two love birds... if that's what you could call them were infatuated and Max admired that in a couple but they were "lover blind" and could not see past their qualities and see the reality of each other. William being manipulative and sweet. Gabe dropping all of his other friends for his boyfriend.

She pushed herself off of the wall and whipped out her bow and twanged it, keeping her nervous hands still or unnoticeable. Max scoffed hearing William's little loved up words into the crook of his neck, she wanted to encourage him. She pushed her shoulders back and gave him a side smile and raised her eyebrows inviting him in. "C'mon then. I don't get that hurt easily. Enough emotional damage already, a few more physical effects won't hurt. Give me a good story." She bent over towards him and whispered slyly into his ear, "We don't have to tell anyone what happened. It's safe with me," she winked retracting back from him. William wouldn't be hurt unless she lay a finger on his pretty little boyfriend; which she was not going to do. She just wanted to play a game and wind him up to see if he could get any physical action or even for him to back down. He obviously had anger issues and this made her find it even more fun to let his temper out on something else, someone else.
How did he let his anger out when he didn't want to hurt William? It must be hard because William seemed to be very receptive to anything and easy to back down at the slightest hint of confrontation and Gabe obviously couldn't vent his anger out without hurting him in any way. By powers of deduction, Max had worked out that William had had a troubled past leaving him scarred and like the way he was.

Max had also noticed that when Gabe had looked at him and said a few reassuring words that it was like they had already had a conversation not out loud and therefore Max assumed that one of them had telepathy. Max had forgotten whether Gabe had told her about his so she did not have anything to go by. Even so, she wanted to play a little with William's mind and so shot a few words at him to have fun with:
I still have intelligence behind all these twigs

<div align=center>William couldn't believe what this girl was doing, was she stupid? She was practically playing with fire - or for want of a better metaphor, playing with a live wire. He refused to let her provoke the older boy, that was a bad idea for all three of them. William didn't much want to get hurt again, and he didn't like Max very much at this point, but since Gabe's anger was directed at her... William glanced nervously up to the Latino, he was starting to feel nervous and jittery, and that was never good. His mind was asking him if he was going to balk or not, a little voice somewhere in the back of it was chanting fight or flight, fight or flight. Though, the panic was practically devoid from his features, his face was straight and he stood dead still. If I show any sign of weakness she'll strike. William needed to show the girl who was boss. He was the alpha in this situation, and right now, Max was just a rabid little coyote.

Perhaps he should back off, perhaps he should let her piss Gabe off, perhaps he should let her be turned into a human plug socket. Her thought was like a whisper to him, though his eyes instantly locked to hers, and he lifted an eyebrow. Opening your mind to a telepath was perhaps not Max's best move of the day. Once William got in, he was awfully hard to get out again. Bad move. A wan smile crossed his face, he could end this in a matter of seconds if he really wanted to, he could have done from the beginning. It was a strange feeling to have someone else in your head, especially if it had never happened to you before. The look on William's face, suggested that Max had probably got herself into just a little more trouble right now than she'd bargained for. What's your worst memory, Max?</div>

Gabe laughed then and rolled his eyes at Max. Did she really think that was going to irritate him? "You're gonna have to try a lot harder than that Max." It was funny how when she was trying to be annoying she simply came off as immature and caused Gabe to laugh at how stupid she was being, but when she was trying to argue that was when Gabe got irritated.

"Tell you a good story? Really? A story?" Gabe shook his head in disbelief. "I bet you've no idea what my powers even do, they have nothing to do with stories ." He frowned, "you know, apart from the fact that you insulted my boyfriend and kept arguing even after I told you to stop I, I've realised Bill was right about you. You're not a good friend at all, if you were you would have remembered me telling you about my powers."

Gabe had told Max about them that day in the cafeteria, he realised that was probably a dangerous thing to have done, but he couldn't take it back now. And she didn't even remember .

"It's okay, I have more control than that," Gabe assured Bill, when he saw the boy eying him nervously. "I'm not gonna blow a fuse from her weak attempt at irritation."

I don't think my worst memory concerns you. She squeezed her eyes shut trying to block out the images but she saw bright flashes of the pained woman, the blood oosing seductively from her neck, her sprawled body and piercing bones. No No No! She wasn't going to let the memory win, not this time. She would feel fatigued after she remembered that. Not here. Not now. It was William's puny voice that her entered her head and she was annoyed for him getting into her mind. Why couldn't it have been Gabe? She liked Gabe, okay, he wasn't fond of her right now.

"I have a bad memory Gabe, I'm sorry," she apologised. She genuinely meant it through her annoyed hormonal self, she genuinely meant it. It wasn't something to say on impulse, she meant it. It would fall on deaf ears but it wasn't like she didn't try. "William was always right about me," she said sulkily. She hung her head, kicking her feet with her black boots before nodding at them with a slight upturn of a smile, a real smile. One with emotion and meant things that could not be conveyed through words and she was not prepared to attempt it. If Gabe wanted to take it as a peace offering then so be it. She was not finished with William just yet. C'mon then. Give me your best shot. I won't tell Gabe, if you won't.

<div align=center>Whether or not it concerned him or not, he could still bring it up. But on the other hand, this was a bad thing. In his head she deserved it though. She needed to be taught a lesson and William was a ticking time bomb threatening to explode and kill both of them. Max perhaps shouldn't have been annoyed with William, since the fault was more or less on her shoulders. She'd extended herself to him and opened herself up, a dangerous move, William was growing bored and irritated, he could have just grabbed Gabe and left, but there was no way he wanted to leave her thinking that she had won. She was starting to get on his nerves. Perhaps they'd have been okay if she'd kept her mouth shut.

A flash of anger crossed his mind, though his face remained neutral. That anger was replaced with the sudden, overwhelming wave of emotion that had flooded from Max, whatever he'd brought up had evidently been something she'd pushed away, as well as the negative feeling's he'd suddenly pushed onto her. Don't cry. Don't cry. Don't cry. He was quivering lightly, trying desperately to hide himself away in Gabe's head. His presence was comforting, it softened the blow of the rebound he got from whatever he'd unearthed from the depth's of Max's mind. He clung to the other boy's hand rather tightly, if you cry I'm going to drown you, William Beckett.</div>

' I have a bad memory Gabe, I'm sorry,' Max was right, her apology did fall on deaf ears. Does she really think that a tiny apology is going to fix all this? He shook his head, but he supposed she had sort of got what she wanted as he had given up arguing. But, it was moreso because he was exhausted than because of her apology.

Gabe was intrigued by what was going on between William and Max. Obviously he couldn't hear the thoughts or see the memories being exchanged between them, but he could tell that something was going on. They were definitely conversing . Gabe briefly thought, this won't end well...

When William entered his mind, this time Gabe definitely noticed. He could feel his boyfriend's upset and calmly tried to soothe him, through his own emotions.

Max cocked her head slightly seeing William quivering nervously in a fearful manner hanging off Gabe who was obviously concerned and knew what was going on between them, and she could not help but feel apologetic because it seemed to hit him harder than herself. She shot Gabe a worried look with genuine concern. William looked pained and Max did not like his facial expressions, she panicked that William had seen into her mind and was imitating her worst memory.
Please stop, she pleaded desperately. It made her very uncomfortable seeing him with such an expression that she began to heat up and her face turned red and her knees were shaking and her mind was scrambled and blank. She felt just as pained as William looked though she tried to deceive them.

<div align=center>William stood straight and drew a breath, Max was in fact, wrong. Her emotions were a tickle compared to Gabe's right now. He forced everything he could muster onto the girl, quivering violently the whole while, though that didn't mean he was upset about anything. He probably would have punched her if not for the fact that the boy wasn't very strong. Doesn't mean smacking her in the face wouldn't hurt, though. It was at times like this where he wished he had a big, scary pet, or a power that caused pain if used in the right way. William was a gentle boy for the most part. But he was cross.

The boy shook his head nonchalantly when she asked him to stop, a wide, creepy smile spreading across his features. I don't want to stop. He tilted his head to the side, staring at her. There was a voice that told him he should probably draw away before he destroyed her, he'd already done that once. He didn't want to do it again. He pushed a little more on her before finally leaving, tearing up the worst memory he could find within her mind, forcing it to flash up before the girl's eyes, and his own for a very brief moment, before drawing himself away entirely, and fixing himself into the somewhat comforting atmosphere of Gabriel's mind. He frowned up at the boy and hunched his shoulders. "She made me do it."</div>

Max was also wrong about the fact that Gabe knew exactly what was going on between her and William. He didn't , although he had an idea. All he knew for a fact was that there was mental communication going on between them. However when he saw the look Max shot him he knew that it was more than the average conversation.

Gabe could almost taste the tension in the atmosphere, and he had a rather nasty feeling that something very bad was happening. Along with the look Max had given him there was also an eerie smile on Bill's face, which worried Gabe. It was terrifying to see that expression on the boy's face, sure he was smiling, but you could be sure it wasn't from joy.

'She made me do it.' "Bill," Gabe blinked, concerned, "what did you do?" He felt a horrible feeling in the pit of his stomach, guilt . If he had never introduced them to each other everyone would have been a whole lot better off.

Max really didn't know what to do about her current situation she had found herself in. It had just hit her what William had said and she looked at him with shock, "I didn't make you do it! You have your own free will, if you didn't want to do it, then you didn't have to. You chose to. I don't have your powers. I can't stand up to you in a mental way." Max was tempted to talk to Gabe that he hadn't done anything to calm him down, she could at least make little bits up to him and she was intending to anyway, even if he didn't except it. Which he wasn't going to.

Max whimpered a little, William was doing something with force and it was giving her a sharp pain in her temples and all she could see was blood trickling in front of her eyes and her fingers seized up and they were pulled as if they had snagged onto clothing.
'You just going to watch me bleed?' was all she could hear and she was blind to blood and she was scared. William... she screamed in her head to him.
