Private Whispers of the Mind

Michi hummed in thought. She'd didn't have any place in mind in particular -- plus when she's trying to keep the voices at bay, she usually just went where her legs would lead her. Which wasn't really much different for her right now; what, with Lizzy manning the controls. "Honestly, anywhere's fine," she said rather plainly. "Explorings cool, too. We got time to spare, I think."

Michi nodded from her inner headspace. Thirty minutes was both long and short but walking around helped her waste enough time. She let Lizzy take the reins for walking while she wondered what to do with the voices since she didn't have any other outlets to distract herself with. She was too busy sifting through them that she hadn't paid any attention to the outside world until Lizzy chimed in, asking for directions. When she finally tried to settle back to the present... "Uh.." Did she want to say, she didn't? "I might not have been paying attention?"

Michi smiled meekly -- not that Lizzy could actually see it. Or if she could anyway, it wouldnt have helped either of them. She'd made herself familiar around the area but not enough that she could find her way out of the forest area after being dropped there blindfolded. "Uhhh, 15 minutes is enough, right?" Surely they don't need to get lost for over that long, right?

"You lost me for a second there," Michi replied, worry laced in her voice. While she shouldn't be worried, she wasn't particularly sure what was going on. She felt her body for a moment, nearly staggering from the sudden return of physical control but it was almost too sudden. "Is that normal? Almost felt like we lost a signal," she added with a meek laugh, trying to make a joke about it but unable to hide the uncertainly. If anything, they should be closer to the dorms if they'd followed their footsteps, but she also didn't know the extent of Liz's abilities to even know how it really worked.

Michi almost frowned, knowing now that they were both treading unfamiliar grounds with Lizzy's abilities. Of course, it couldn't possibly be that bad? Right now, Lizzy's body was safely on her bed in her room, surely no one can get in and harm her. They could run out of time and Lizzy would probably just wake up in a dark room. "Unless," she voiced out, enough that Lizzy could possibly hear it through the growing whispers, seemingly mirroring Michi's own concerns. Of course, their abilities aren't natural. With them still not fully understanding their abilities, who knows what could possibly happen if she was outside her own physical body for long. For a moment, Michi realized she seemed to have missed her friend's musings for her own, managing only to catch a bit of Lizzy's question to her. "Uhh... I really wasn't paying any attention. You haven't made a lot of turns, did you...?" She hopes there wasn't anyone trying to mess with either of them in this forest.
