The vampire turned his attention to something over Jamie's shoulder, and Jamie let out the breath he'd been holding in, propped his feet up on the chair across from him and went back to his book. It wasn't that he was afraid - there were plenty of students here, and he was certain most of them had more appetizing throats then he did. The vampire didn't seem to be concerned with drinking blood or ripping out throats at the moment, at any rate. But still, he was embarrassed at the way he'd came over and made a complete fool of himself, and he was glad that the boy didn't seem to be dwelling on that fact.
James jumped, nearly upsetting his bottle of soda, and turned around to get a look at the girl behind him. Was this who the guy was smiling at? He inspected the short, black-and-white girl more thoroughly than was his habit, paying particular attention to her teeth. One of the vampire's friends, perhaps? But no - she didn't really seem like she knew him. He turned his attention to the girl coming up behind them, noting the way she stared at the boy across from him nervously. It looked as if she'd noticed straight away that the guy was a vampire - James felt another wave of embarrassment wash over him, and he turned back to his book, hunching over shyly. "I don't mind," He mumbled, glancing over at the vampire to see if he cared. He couldn't tell who the monochrome girl was asking, but the other guy had been there first. He popped a piece of watermelon into his mouth, deciding that the best course of action was to shut up and eat his food as quickly as possible.
