When the sun rises

The light shined offensively into the room, rising Mal slowly from his moment of rest, his eyes adjusted to the mostly white room slowly. His mind was chugging along trying to remember this unfamiliar place, the walls were white covered in some generic flowery wallpaper, the carpet was some brown shag, an offshoot bathroom the size of a closet could be seen through an open door opposite of the large window and entrance.

He put together that this was a motel room, he had been in plenty before, but he had trouble remembering what had happened to lead him to this point. He sat up and realized that his clothing had been strewn about the room and, in an unbelievable bout of ignorance, he realized he was not alone in this bed. He glanced at the purple skinned beauty laying in the bed, and a name came to his mind, as well as a skip in his heart beat.

"Kaya." A hand went up to his mouth, as he subconsciously spoke, he looked at her once again to see if he had awoken her. He remembered their impromptu date, but everything after the diner was a bit of a blur for him, obviously some possibilities came to mind, considering they were in bed together. He would lie back down slowly, trying not to disturb her, his mind thinking, trying to recall the memories.

@Kaya and Gang

Something, that's as far as he got when he attempted to come to a conclusion to what had happened. Where the hell was his perfect memory, it was almost like he was drugged or forcibly given amnesia, regular thoughts coming to mind was like pulling a boulder through quicksand.

He felt a pulse of pain in the back of his skull, a headache wasn't enough to describe it but it wasn't as severe as a migraine. Did he drink anything the night before? Fuck if he could remember, Mal didn't like to drink, that's what it felt like had happen, it's the only time he ever had gaps in his memory, which was frustrating.

The sudden motion had snapped him back to reality, he glanced to his partly conscious(?) partner as Kaya removed some of the covers on her. With a blush he diverted his eyes away from her, which in a sense was entirely silly considering the situation but considering his lack of recollection he wasn't going to ogle. As far as he was considering there was no permissions placed out between them.

A squirming movement under him made him quickly arch his body, his imagination creating a snake under him, which, in his experience was completely possible in a motel. After the slight heart attack he took note of the detail that, where the head should have been the similarly shaped object was not a fanged skull. Tail, right, demoness with a tail, Mal made sure she was able to move her tail before returning to his laying position.

Darkness, in the room now and the projectile that had been flung towards the window seemed to be made out of. It was nice, also a reminder of Kaya's abilities. It was nice, a bit more soothing, made his mind feel better and less rushed. Unfortunately he still couldn't retrieve his memories past a point and that bothered him quite a lot.

He felt movement and turned towards Kaya, his body shifting entirely as he re-positioned. And immediately he was lost, a beat skipping in his chest, she was extremely beautiful, and seeing her forward facing like that, it was almost too much for him to handle. Malvoes kept full eye contact with her, partly out of the entrancement and partly out of respect for her, though his peripheral vision was quite a view. Then Kaya spoke and Mal was lost, it must have been a different language of sort, he had no clue what she said.

"I'm sorry Kaya, I can't really understand yo-" He was cut off, as she spoke some more, whatever it was she sounded terrible about it, which made Mal's chest ache. Reflexively he moved closer to her, and would try to put one of his arms around her comfortingly and gently leaned forward to rest his forehead against hers.

"It's okay Kaya. I don't really know what happened last night after the diner. I wish I did, and I can kinda assume what happened but it's not really the same. I'm sorry if I did anything that was too forward or rude or if I made this situation happen without you wanting it." He took a sigh, he had no idea what happened or if he should be apologizing but it felt like he should.

"I feel really bad for not remembering, for a lot of reasons. Mostly because I was really starting to like you, I thought we were clicking on some level . You're really beautiful and quirky and endearingly adorable, and I hope nothing messed anything up. Please don't be sad." He wasn't even sure if he was being heard or understood, that if her brain swapped to a different language entirely or just her speaking. He'd move his head back, looking her in the eyes.

Mal was glad to hear a chuckle, to know that she was alright. He didn't take into account the exact situation, caught up in words and trying to remember any of the prior night. Kaya's increased proximity, the feel of her skin against his, made it blatantly obvious as his senses started to drift and his more primal urges started to come forward.

As Kaya confirmed they were both amnesiacs he was relieved, "I'm positive that that's an accurate assumption." It's a shame that it's only an assumption though, not being able to remember last night became more of a disappointment.

Mal only was able to nod to her words, considering he had thought them several times already, before she had embraced him. Mal had no objections, he leaned into the kiss meeting her passion with his own vigor, savoring the taste of her lips on his. His hand that was originally placed to console her had drifted to her lower back, showing his approval of their closeness and enforcing it.

Malvoes fully accommodated Kaya as they shifted positions, his hands moving, his left moving from her lower back to her waist, in theory to support her, in practice though he was enjoying the form of her body.

Mal chuckled softly, keeping full eye contact with Kaya as she spoke. "I like the way you think. We can try to jog our memories, and if it doesn't work...then how about we create some..." Mal paused for a moment, trying to find the right words. He bit his lip slightly as it came to him,"That we won't be forgetting for a very long time."
