Sebastian let his eyes wonder over the people gathered around the still empty carousel as he took one more deep breath, stretching his hands behind his back, willing himself to stay awake despite being bone tired after the flight. They could not rest yet, he knew, though the cursed machine holding their baggage hostage would hopefully move sometimes this century so they can get their (admittedly large, Sebastian alone somehow ended up with two bags) baggage and move towards the front, where a driver was waiting for them to take them to their room, and the bed that would be theirs for the duration of the vacation.
Vacation which, he thought as he eyed the long, snake like machine which was now moving but still held no bags for them to grab, was supposed to be relaxing. A time for the two of them to get away from school, and their room which still held some evidence of Hari turning into a tree in the middle of it, and all the memories of the event, as well as what had come afterwards, for he had been at least half right in his assumption of what the days after the Turnings, as he had started calling it inside his head, would look like.
He had held onto Hari as if the man was about to break while he slept, careful and fond, searching for his warmth and basking in it as much as he had done while he was in the shape of a cold blooded snake. There had been words exchanged, however, when the man had come awake, some yelling, and lot of crying, followed by a few quiet days during which neither of them knew what to do with themselves. Sebastian had ached for his lover, but every time he had looked at him during those few days he would hang his head in something strikingly similar to shame. And despite the fact that without Hari Sebastian fell back all too easily into his previous state of boredom that not even his new friend could not help lift completely, it took them a while to get back to their feet, to talk to each other without strain.
They were fine now, though, he thought, sneaking a glance of the man by his side. More than fine, actually, he hummed as some of the missing baggage finally started appearing on the lane. And this vacation was supposed to be a testimony of that, as well as a time during which their room back at the Academy would be fixed. They were supposed to relax and enjoy themselves, hopefully by putting that large bed into their room to good use, though Sebastian had a strong feeling that Hari would be extremely against spending all of their time here in bed.
He was, however, already cranky, despite the fact that they had just arrived, irritated by a long flight and what seemed as even longer wait for their bags. He would not let it ruin their vacation, however, so he focused on getting himself out of that wretched state by focusing on all the lovely things they could do now that they were alone and away from the burdens that they carried while at school. Most of those things featured a bad, naturally, though there were a few which needed to happen in public places and thus required clothes. Unless, of course, one was feeling a bit more adventurous...
''Finally'', he said, one of his bags finally coming into view, his voice still slightly irritated at the end, despite the fact that he had to put a careful rein on his thoughts lest they turned too vivid and caused him to have problems while he walked. ''One down'', he said, pulling the black suitcase of the carousel, ''Two to go'', he sighed, leaning against the suitcase to wait again. ''Or is it three?'', he said, turning towards the man at his side. He could not remember how many bags Hari had ended up with in the end.
@"Zeronos": Fun fact: I almost tagged you as Poptart here xD I hope this is okay for the first post. I did not say explicitly where they are, because we have not talked about that, the title is simply something I thought would be appropriate for a travelling thread
