"Ah, so you do." She mused, bouncing the toddler. "Simply request the right form and sign off for them, that is all." She peered at the younger woman, as she dried the selkie pelt off and folded it up.

The child squealed happily as she waved her hands in the air, reaching upward for the elderly woman's face. She completely ignored the woman's attempt to redress her, however.

Crap, this old woman was perceptive. She heard that some old people could be like that. She hoped that she would keep a sharp wit once she became elderly. Thinking about it, didn't she turn thirty? ....Crap, she was out of her twenties. Well, that was nothing important. What was important was this decision. Was she really going to go ahead and take care of a child? It was a big responsibility. She would have to feed both herself and her would-be daughter. Her funds would have to be allocated to purchase items for her. She would probably also have to risk valuable sleep and time while trying to do her new job even when she was ill.

...Screw it, why not?

"Very well then. What form would I need?"

Despite her cool demeanor, this was having a clear emotional impact on her. Her expression was much lighter than before. While she wasn't smiling, she definitely showed signs of content. It was an odd change, but nevertheless she was agreeing to it.

Nnayn, clothed only in a diaper, darted off of the elderly woman's lap as the crows gathered with pieces of paper in their mouths. The woman pointed - "That one, is foster parent. The one in the middle is adoption, the one on the end is legal guardian." She paused for a moment, "Adoption and legal guardian is not the same thing; a legal guardian has no right to keep the child if the child is adopted out of their care." She added, sternly.

Nnayn had latched onto one of the drinking fountains, and was trying to reach the spray of water it created.
