That morning Jett just lounged in bed, watching as Jeong slept and dreamed. He hadn't had a good sleep, but that wasn't uncommon. Jett sat up and slunk out of bed, looking through the closet for a casual, formal button up and some black slacks. As he was buttoning up his shirt, he sat beside Jeje and stroked his cheek.
"Hey, Luv, wake up, we're going out. I have coffee made in the kitchen. Want me to get you a cup?" His voice was soft and weightless. He leaned forward to give Jeong's forehead a gentle kiss.
These last days had been utterly unlike Jett. It was as if he had reset himself to model after the perfect boyfriend; and boy did Jeong love it. That feeling of closeness was almost too much for him to handle at times, as he wasn't used having the man be so... Perfect around him. In Jeje's eyes, yes, Jett was, ever since his confession, perfect. This brought something new to the table, as if it now worked both ways. There was no guarantee that the older man saw him as perfect, but he was at least making an effort to act like he was.
As he heard Jett's soft words in his ear, he put a small smile against his lips. His eyes opened to see the man leaning over and kissing him, which was too much cuteness right in the morning. He half sat up, rubbing his eyes. Jeong had never really been one to be overjoyed when he was woken up by someone else; but this was different. "Hey." He uttered out after he did a loud yawn and stretched his arms upwards. "Coffee sounds nice." He shook his head as his eyes still tried to force open. He would wait until he had his coffee in his hands to ask what was planned, if at all. Jeong kind of wanted to be surprised. After a few seconds, he glanced up at the man as he slowly rose up into a sitting position. Jeong gently placed his hand on Jett's cheek, as he leaned his body over to give him a proper morning kiss. With a short giggle of happiness, he only looked at his partner with longing eyes.

"Can you see where this is going?" The Skinwalker laughed. "Full disclosure, I've never surfed before in my life, so either you'll be better than me or we'll both be equally bad together. You up for this? We don't have to."
It was utterly unlike him to ask, even Jett knew that. Usually, Jett just told Toby and Jeje to do things. Toby didn't always listen, but Jeong usually did.
It was too early to do anything too extravagant. Jeong was yawning still in the car, even though the coffee and a few kisses had helped him wake up. While he sat in his car, Jeje rubbed his eyes constantly; that was before he realized where they were headed. A bright smile went on his face as he saw the pier. There was so much that they could do, so many things that would make the connection between them even stronger. The tiger gave Jett a short but sweet kiss on his cheek as his door was opened by the older man. What a sweetie.
Though when he saw the surfboards and suits, his excitement was to the top. "Oh shit!" He nuzzled Jett's nose with his, overly excited. "This is going to be a disaster, considering I've never even touched a surf board." He grabbed his things without even having Jett tell him to, wanting to get out on the water as soon as possible to fail with his boyfriend. "Let's do this!" His determination came out of nowhere. With that, he pointed over to two outhouses/change rooms that they would be able to change into. "Come come." He threw the suit over his shoulder and had the board under one of his armpits before he grabbed the man's hand and pulled him along.

Even knowing the two of them would be flailing all over the place and making great big fools of themselves, Jeong wasn't put off by it. Well, that was good enough for Jett. He didn't mind looking like an idiot, he only cared whether Jeje was going to be entertained or not. Once inside the changing rooms, Jett swiftly got changed and stepped out, taking an awkward hold of his surfboard. "Are you prepared for utter failure, Luv?"
Jett was all too excited to get out on the water. There was something about the mystery and danger of it all that he loved. Of course, when they were out in the water neither of them were entirely sure how to stand correctly on the boards, and Jett wasn't learning it at all fast. He hooted with laughter as he slipped off the board into the water and broke through the surface, pushing hair from his face. "I was kind of hoping we would be a little better than this."
The Skinwalker pulled himself back up onto his board and sat carefully in the middle to keep from losing his balance. He held his arms out wide. "Okay, okay, I think I got it this time." Very slowly, he stood, but the second he did he slipped off into the water again. "I think we're more likely to drown than ride a wave, Jeje. We should have gone bodyboarding instead. That's our style."
The tiger practically ran into the change room, moving without hesitation of where his counterpart was. He changed kind of quickly, as trying to stuff his fluffy tail inside the suit challenged him to think outside the box for sure. After about a minute, he managed to get it in the wet suit and stepped out to meet his partner. With a strong grin, he bumped the man with his shoulder. "Of course I am honey."
Though, his over-looming confidence wasn't something that stayed with him long. Once his feet got into the water, Jeong changed his attitude like a lightning strike. No, he wasn't nervous, but more so uncertain in his own abilities. Thankfully he had none to speak of. He flipped and wiggled and tried many times to get on top of his board, but with no luck. "God, this is tiring." Jeje huffed out at Jett when their eyes met for a brief second. "I mean we also can't expect to be good at it right off the bat either." His eyes flashed at Jett once more as he tired so hard to get on. No luck it seemed.
"Maybe... Maybe we could just lay on the boards, and then just shoot up over the waves?" He dragged his board out a bit further. "I mean as long as I'm with you, it will be fun." With that, he hopped on the top of his board and laid down on it gently. "Y-Yeah?" The hope in his eyes would hopefully show Jett that he wanted to keep at it.

The waves weren't large, but they were choppy and inconsistent. The kind of waves that came before a large storm. Jett nearly tumbled off his board at a particularly sharp one that hit him from the side. "Christ," he snarled on reflex, grip tightening on Jeong's hand for a moment. "Should have picked a calmer day, but fuck the ocean and its unpredictability, am I right or am I right?"
The Skinwalker flipped over onto his stomach so he could better balance himself and let one of his arms rest in the water. "Here's to hoping it's not bitten off."
He loved the man's unpredictability. One second he was serious, and the next he tried to hard to look like it. "We are not really doing this right at all..." That was perhaps being a bit too naive to the fact that they were doing everything completely wrong it seemed. Half of Jeong wanted to say that they should have gotten an instructor to held them, but of course the other half was just happy to be with Jett. "Jaws is a big ass shark so, I think we would see him coming. And then the music would kick in, yeah?" Their gripped hands comforted him as the waves hit them rather hard as they shifted everywhere in the water.
When Jett literally swore to the water, it made his head tilt towards one of his mates and give off a concerned look. Jeje squeezed back with a crackling laughter before he could ask if the older man was okay. "Fuck the ocean indeed. But not literally." He felt obligated to say that last sentence, if only to add some relief between them. A few seconds later, Jett let go of his hand and flipped over; Jeong did the same, though he didn't keep his other arm in the water like man had. "I'll fight whatever bites it off your arm. I'll kill it and we can um... Have it for dinner!" His words were proud and confident, as if he would be able to kill something that lurked in these waters. After a few seconds, he reached his hand out and lightly tapped Jett's shoulder. "Want to go out further?" Jeong locked their hands once more. If he was with Jett, anything was possible.

Jett held his laughter at bay when Jeong suggested music would kick in at Jaws' approach. He turned a leveled and practiced stare on Jeong, slowly one eyebrow raised. Without any hint of irony, Jett said, "that is just ridiculous, Jeong. We're in the REAL world. Music doesn't follow colossal sharks around when they munch on people."
Any of the laughter that Jett held in was immediately released upon Jeong telling him to not fuck the ocean literally. "Man, thanks. I needed that advice. Otherwise, I might have jumped off my board and tried." He playfully slapped his own cheek. "Bad Jett, bad."
He took a second to calm down and enjoy the sun and the cool water. Speaking of water, he was God damn parched. What the absolute hell. He blamed the ocean, again. Screw the sea, man, and all its salt.
"Okay, Jeong, you go ahead and kick anything's ass if it attacks me. That sounds like a plan. My life and my arm are in your capable hands."
He hummed in thought and measured the waves further out. "You wanna be swept away by the undertow? Or maybe flipped off our boards some more. Nope, I'm fine right here, thanks."

"Hey, I'm sure that if enough people believed it, there would be one time that it would happen. Maybe they would, set it up just right so that a shark came and there was someone on their phone that played some type of music." His gaze trailed off to the side, unsure if his point even made any sense. Oh well, there had been many times where his boyfriend had given him side eyed looks of concern. "You never know, the water does have your own reflection, and you are one hot man."
His head turned as he smiled widely, amused by himself. "You got it! I will use my special, one of a kind Jeong moves, of yes they will!" He wasn't sure what that would be necessarily, but of course Jeong would come up with something. "I was only joking, this alone is making my stomach a bit wobbly." He flushed a bit, wondering if Jett remembered how sick he had been from the movement of the boat he had been on. Oh, how so much had happened since then.
