Cleo

The strip was busy tonight, and Cleo was out and about. She'd been meaning to check out the islands club scene since arriving, and now she finally had a chance to do just that. So far, it hadn't disappointed.

The current club she was in was called The Six Gods Oasis, and despite it's small size it was still one of the more popular clubs on the island, and it wasn't hard to see why. The whole place seemed to have a greek theme to it, and the music wasn't half bad either.

Finishing off a drink at the bar, Cleo decided to make her towards the dance floor. Until she saw the last person she expected to find in a club. "Osmond!?" She asked, shock and confusion clear in her voice. "I didn't know you were in to the club scene.. Professor."

Oz felt horribly out of place in his suit at the Six Gods Oasis, but it wasn't like he had much of a choice. Nothing in his closet would make him feel any more appropriately dressed. Clubs were for the young and his days of sneaking into clubs were far past. He had settled himself at the bar, in a spot where he could watch the entryway and had a decent view of the dance floor. He ordered himself a wine and there he waited.

Horribly suspicious behavior, but it couldn't be helped. Oz was there out dire necessity. It all started a few weeks ago, when he noticed Seraphina in new clothes and accessories, all of which looked far and beyond more expensive than the allowance afforded to her. When he pried as to how she go the money all she would say was that she got a new after school job. There was no highschool part time job that made that much money.

"Osmond?"

Oz pulled himself from his thoughts and immediately recognized one of his students from the academy, who was clearly shocked to find him here. "Ah, Miss Cleo." He greeted, then fumbled for what to say next. He appeared just as shocked as she was. "Um, enjoying yourself tonight?"

Cleo raised an eyebrow at Oz's reaction. As if he didn't look out of place enough in a suit, he seemed tense and even a little jumpy, nothing like the strict professor she knew. "I am. And you look like you need to enjoy yourself more." She said with a grin, before taking an open seat next to him at the bar.

Ordering herself a glass of water she turned her attention towards Oz. "So, what brings you here tonight? I doubt anyone goes to a club just to sit at the bar."

"I'm enjoying myself just fine," Oz said, with perhaps too much force. He sighed and for a moment stared into his almost empty glass. He really could use another. "I have my reasons," He said. Ominous but his students didn't need to know every detail of his private life. Oz took that moment to glance around the club, but saw no glimpse of his sister. Had he gotten the wrong place?

He caught the bartender's attention and ordered a refill for his wine and glanced at her own glass of water. "And I doubt anyone goes to a club just to drink water." It turned her own words against her, and hopfully took the attention off himself.

"Heh. Clever." Cleo said as Oz turned her words against her. "But I've already had enough alcohol for tonight as is. And besides, don't want to spend everything in one place." This was far from the first club she'd been to tonight, and there were still a few she was hoping to visit, and it wouldn't do to show up without any cash on hand.

Oz's glance around the club didn't go unnoticed. "You're looking for someone, aren't you?" Cleo asked with a smirk as she took a sip of water. "Your sister, maybe?" She asked, remembering seeing the name "Rhichter" on a few bills from the Wolfsbane. And she was sure Oz had mentioned having a sister at some point in class. There had to be a connection.

"Enough alcohol already?" Oz looked to his watch, still thinking it was early in the night, only to realize it was later than he thought. He worried, like the respectible adult he was, about the lack of sleep on a work night. Though, wisely kept that thought to himself least Cleo have more fuel to tease him with.

He was ready to call the night a bust, and was about to make an excuse to leave when Cleo caught his attention. "My- How did you know?" Oz questioned, stumped that Cleo even knew. He had forgotten that he brought his sister up in his classes. "What do you know?" He questioned further. "Do you know where she is?"

"Now we are getting somewhere. I take it she also has the last name Rhichter? Because someone with that name has been spending quite a bit of time at the wolfsbane." Cleo said, her smirk not going anywhere.

She took a sip of her drink, watching Oz carefully. "Let me guess.. Yellow eyes? Blonde hair?" Cleo asked, before pulling her phone out of her purse and quickly opening her social media, and going to a picture of Seraphina with a red skinned pride demon, who appeared to be holding a large stack of cash.

"That wouldn't happen to be Seraphina, would it?" Cleo asked, showing the picture to Oz and smirking.

It was almost like a switch was flipped. From shock and worry to quiet anger. The more Cleo talked, the darker Oz's expression became. He was quiet, patiently, angrily waiting for her to finish speaking. He glanced once at her phone screen before locking his gaze with hers. "What do you know."

It was not a question, it was a demand. Oz burned with quiet fury. There were few things that could make him well and truly angry. And threatening his little sister sat firmly at the top of that list.

Cleo held up her hands when Oz made his demand. Clearly she'd hit a nerve by mentioning his sister. "Easy there tiger. Don't shoot the messenger." She said, hoping to calm him down.

"I'll tell you what I know so far. But you owe me for this. I can't just give information out for free, after all." Cleo said, casting a glance around the club. "And whatever I tell you, you didn't hear it from me, alright?"

Don't shoot the messenger she says, when clearly she's trying to be more than a mere messenger. This was extortion, and blatantly so, but Oz was hardly in the weaker position here. He was on good terms with Kali, the owner of the Wolfsbane bordello and knew she had some connection to the island's darker underbelly. However. . . the more he knew before going to her, perhaps that holds the greatest chance for success in saving his sister without hurting her public reputation.

"Fine," Oz growled, "Tell me what you know and I will be indebted to you."
