(((Uhm, they are at the top of the waterfall, heading down.)))

Kinta shook his head. He snatched her back down. "DON'T do that. This is my world, and I know what I'm doing here. You don't. You need to heed my advice if you want to survive here." He continued down the waterfall path. "Now. PROMISE me you won't do anything? I don't want anything to happen to you," he said in a quiet whisper.

Kintaru smiled. "Thank you. Thank you very much. Now be careful, please." He continued down the path in the middle of the waterfall. "Stand right behind me all the way through the next one. It's a bit of a rough road, the Second Precinct."

(((By the way? 10)))

Kinta turned and looked dead into Aelmyr's eyes. "The Dead don't give a damn that you are one of them. They'll pull you down into the river to be swept to your death just as much as they would me. And believe me, passing the Ninth Gate would kill you just as dead as the sun or the loss of your head."

She looked into the water and realized that the misty white figures where souls and grabbed at her dress. She clenched her teeth and pulled her dress to her thigh and tighed it so it would stay. Her stapy white high heels slipped in the river mud. She almost fell.

Kintaru smiled. He offered her his arm so that she could get rid of the shoes. "I guess I should have told you that was not a good idea, wearing heels in Death. Next time, be more careful." He sighed, and glanced around. This was the Second Precinct, and not only was the current a bit more powerful here, there also very fearsome inhabitants.

"Aelmyr, forgive me. I'm not used to having someone come into Death with me, let alone a female wearing heels." He shook his head. "That came out wrong anyway. I meant that to myself. I need to remember that not everyone knows that the mud in this river is very sticky."
