The office was quiet as Kiron awaited the arrival of his guest, if she decided to come. He had someone look for the individual when he had learned of her abilities and had them hand her a letter requesting a meeting at the shop, either in the morning or in the afternoon. He made it clear that she was under no obligation to come if she didn't want to. He only wanted a chance to see her power at work. To experience it and sate his own curiosity. It may open up new avenues for the Void Walkers. The girl behind the reception desk was instructed on who to look out for and to usher her into Kiron's office. Kiron himself could hear footsteps upon footsteps directing to the other wings while he sat and waited. A glass orb was suspended above the desk, pulsating in different frequencies of light as elemental enchantments were stitched and undone. "Hm. This looks about right." He stood from his desk and made his way over to the workshop across the floor and picked out an incomplete staff and stood it upright on a mount to allow him to install the glass orb, containing the visage of a flickering flame within. One more order completed.

Naisis had a busy day, so the letter she was handed and stuffed into one of her pockets was, more or less, ignored. After the morning classes, searching for a place to stay and a multitude of other things she needed to do before becoming the liaison between Mantra Carlos and the Subliminal.

Flopping down on the sofa she looked over to where Flutterpip was working on her newest project. What it was she doubted even Flutterpip knew. That is when she remembered the letter in her pocket. Pulling it out she opened it. It was an invitation for a Kiron Hel'Sarie to meet him at his place of business, a place called Null Horizons. Both name s seem to ring a bell.

"Flutter can you help me?"

Flutterpip put down her knitting and flew over to Naisis.

"What can you find out on - Kiron Hel'Sarie?"

A few moments later on the laptop, Flutterpip brought up a picture with a blurb on his business, "why do you want to know?"

Showing the letter to Flutterpip, she replied, "He has invited me over to his place."

Flutterpip all excited, "Ooh! A date!"

Rolling her eyes, "no! It is not a date."

"Then what is it?"

To that Naisis could not answer.

"Well, are you going?"

"I'm - not - sure..."

"Aw! Come on mom. With your schooling and all the new responsibilities, Avax Set has placed on you, you are running your self ragged. You could use a break. What is the worst that could happen?"

"Well, he could capture me and hand me over to Azure."

Flutterpip flew back to he knitting, "Then you will just have to kick his butt."

Naisis just laughed. To Flutterpip she was super-mom, she knew otherwise. She picked up her ceremonial dagger and hid it in her belt. It was not much, but it has saved her in the past.

Heading downtown, she found the Null Horizons. Entering the shop, she could not help seeing all the artifacts and other magical devices. This might not be a bad idea, he just might shed some light on the Heart-song mystery.

Heading to the receptionist she showed the letter, "I am here to see Kiron Hel'Sarie."

The receptionist took a look at the letter and nodded. "Please, right this way, miss." She turned, motioning for Naisis to come behind the reception desk before knocking on the door. "Sir, your guest is here." "Ahh, very well," came a voice from behind the door. A moment later, Kiron opened the office door and gave a brief bow. "I'm glad you're here. Please, come in and take a seat." Kiron left the door open as he walked behind his desk, but he was looking at something instead of sitting down. There were two arm chairs across from each other, both looking ornate but feel much softer than most cushion materials. "I'm sorry to have called you here so informally." He turned around to face her, holding a thin, stone-like trinket, much like the ones hanging on his waist. "Let me introduce myself properly. I am Kiron Hel'Sarie. And I am not of this dimension. I was an archivist back home, studying magical objects found on other worlds and dimensions to see how they worked. You see, I have a special skill among my kin. I can see and touch the very threads of magic and how those threads are woven into the objects I studied. And I can see it in people as well. And I can change those weaves." He looked at the stone trinket and placed it on the table, sliding it ever so slightly towards his guest. "I heard that you can enter other people's dream world, change it to your liking. I would like a demonstration on myself. I wish to learn more about it. Experience it first hand." He tapped on the trinket. "In return, I give you a favor. You can use it to take advantage of my own abilities. Avail any of my services, free of charge. The only caveat is that it isn't anything considered illegal on Manta Carlos grounds."

Naisis entered the office and sat down in the nearest seat. From the looks of it, he seems to like his comfort.

She sat there with her fingers pressed together and knees crossed revealing both hooves from under her dress. She had a blank expression as she listened to what he had to say. Although her brow did rais a little when he said he was not from this dimension, she was not all that surprised. She suspected a good percentage of the people here were not. His description of what he could do peaked a couple of prospects: 1) discussing magic theory and 2)seeing if he could help her figure out what the Heart-song was.

Placing that trinket on the table and sliding it towards her, made her suspect that was either her payment or bribe for whatever he was planning. A small smirk caressed the corners of her mouth. But that all changed when he described her abilities. Her eyes narrowed and the smile disappeared. She searched past events she had with others here looking if she might have told another; none came to mind.

She did listen to what he wanted and the price he was willing to pay, but she had some serious questions for him. She glared at the trinket as if it was a viper ready to attack and him as if he was Azure himself.

She sat there tapping her fingers together, with a pursed lips staring at the wall behind him, for several moments before speaking.

"Your information on me has a few - caveats. The first and most important is, I can only enter a dream from the Subliminal, and only if the dreamer is part of Subliminal. I have met those here who are not. Secondly, although this one can be solved, when the sun is up my magic is down."

She folded her fingers together and looked over them giving him an ice-cold stare, "but they are moot since at the moment I do not trust you. As far as I know, there are four people that know my ability to control dreams. So how did you find out, and it better be good."

Kiron seemed pleased almost at the new information laid out before him, though his expression didn't change much. He took off his glasses, and while he was holding it in one hand, he waved the other around it. The frames seemed to glow slightly as he did something magical to it. "It is only fair," he'd start, though focusing most of his attention on his craft, "that you know how I decided to pick you. An explanation is in order then, along with apologies. But I ask for your cooperation in this, as this isn't a simple matter. There is a lot of nuance to this, one that can't be easily translated to the common tongue. Except perhaps that you weren't the only one I had hoped to gain the audience with." The glasses stopped glowing as Kiron finished enchanting them, and extended his hand towards his guest, offering the glasses to her. "I require you to see as I see. And I have enchanted these glasses so you are able to. There are properties of the arcane that we have noticed are 'shared'. I have spent my life picking these shared properties out and understanding their purpose in their weave. I am working on something that will help me find a specific property within objects. In one of my tests, I decided to search for, what my colleagues termed, the Dream Master trait. You were one of the first candidates my prototype spotted. Though it was not an exact match, I can hazard a guess that this 'Subliminal' you mentioned is a notable variable factor. If you use my glasses, I can show you what the Dream Master trait looks like"

Her hands dropped into her lap, and her expression returned to that blank look when he started talking, but she still did not trust him. She listened and watched as he did something with his glasses. When he spoke of translation, she quirked a small smile. She had the same problem. Hearing she was not the only one, which caused her to wonder. She has met one other here that could create dreams.

When he offered her the glasses, she accepted them holding them in her lap. She was not ready to try them on, not until she knew what they were for and can do.

Fortunately, her expression did not reflect her thoughts. The first being 'Great! Another Ziadia Kyes!' It was bad enough having one of them, but two? Could the universe survive?

When he mentioned a device to detect magic, she scolded herself for not thinking of that possibility. She had used something called a Nightstone to do something similar.

When he finished, she commented, "vary possible, since I am a creature of the Subliminal its magic flows through my veins."

Picking up the glasses, she looked them over, regretting not bringing her Nightstone with her. It might have given an insight into the magic he used on them.

No use waiting as whatever will happen will happen. Looking up to him, she put on the glasses.

'Its magic flows through my viens.' That line made Kiron raise an eyebrow, and a look of interest broke out from his calm, nobleman-like stature. "Is that so. Interesting... Interesting... I wonder if..." Kiron had diverted his attention upwards, momentarily being caught in deep thought. But when he looked back to ask something, his guest had already put on the glasses and his priorities got refocused to the task at hand. "No, that's another question for another time." His guest would see some fantastical things through the lenses. The room would look very alien, as if she was looking at a fraying dream. Nothing looked as they had before, and there were writhing masses all over the place, but they clung to the general shapes of the objects. The masses looked different from each other, the differing colors being only one of the more prominent properties one can immediately identify. "Take your time trying to make sense of what you see," Kiron cautioned, "Take off the glasses if it gets too much to comprehend." He wasn't sure if such a sudden change of perception affected people in this dimension negatively. If she continued to try and make sense of the masses, she could see that they were made of thread-like strings. Some looked frayed. Others looked like submerged hair. Even more looked like smoke. Then there are those that looked like they were firmly woven together, frays being minimized. It was easy to see chaos and order, but then there are objects around the room where it was mixed. In normal sight, they would correspond to objects in the room. Kiron himself would look like a prismatic ghostly figure found in photographs. As would Naisis if she looked at any part of her. But Kiron would look a lot more ordered. The fraying kept to a minimum. But perhaps that was just his clothing making it appear so. The colors of the masses, after a good amount of scrutiny, would also look more like ordered chaos. "Are you feeling alright?"

Naisis did notice the subtle change in Kiron and suspected that might be the full amount of his emotional outburst. Still, it was interesting that he was interested in her blood.

His glasses were not designed for a horses muzzle, even one shortened like her's. No matter how she positioned them, she could not look through both lenses at the same time. To solve the problem, she closes one eye and looked through a lens with the other. Although what she saw was strange, it was not the weirdest she has ever seen. She wondered what caused all the different styles she was seeing.

Time to take notes. Putting the glasses on top of her head, she fetched her notebook and a fountain pen. Lancing herself to draw a little of her black blood, she opened to the last page and wrote on the bottom line 'Kiron Hel'Sarie '. She flipped forward a page; both pages have his name at the top. In the upper right corner of the right page, she starts to write, although they looked like random doodles to anybody else. They started black the slowly changed into gold when she finished it.

She pulled down the glasses and peered intently at an object then pushed them up on her head before jotting down some notes and, every so often, drawing a picture of what she saw. She did that for several objects in the room, including Kiron and herself. After several pages of this, she closed her notebook and put it in her lap (If Kiron were watching, he would have noticed the number of pages never changed, two in front and two in back).

Sitting back, she tapped the glasses on the palm of her hand in contemplation. When he asked if she was alright, she seemed to come back to reality. She handed Kiron back his glasses.

With an attempt at humor, she commented, "well, that does explain why I feel frazzled some days."

Focusing on Kiron, she smiled, "I have seen stranger than this."

'How curious,' he thought to himself after seeing his guest write with black blood, which turned golden as it dried. It really made him wonder if their blood shared some properties or they were similar by chance. While he could see the threads, he couldn't decipher it at a glance, though he knew there was a lot to be unraveled there. Kiron nodded to her and took the glasses back, but then placed them on the table instead of putting it back on. He turned around and picked up a glass sphere mounted on a stand. It was something he picked up from another shop. He was told that fortune tellers used this, and he'd tried playing around with it himself. He put the stand the sphere rested on, on the desk. "In this fortune teller's ball, I've imprinted the Dream Master trait. It turned out to be a necessity as the medium we used to display such things cannot last in this world's environment. The weave decays, eroded by the significantly lower concentration of magic. So I only have this reproduction to show you. Please, look through the lenses again, and you may pick up the orb." With bare eyes, one would only be able to see a foggy crystal ball with nothing inside. It just seemed like a cheap mantle piece that only looked good from afar, with the flaws of its stand becoming apparent that it was molded with plastic, and the sphere was just glass the size of a tennis ball. But with the glasses on, it was a different story. The stand was wrapped in shifting threads, none of them frayed and looked tightly wound through and around while the glass ball didn't have a single thread on it, aside from what looked to be a still image of knotted threads woven around in a seemingly chaotic fashion. In fact, it almost looked like pocket lint and cotton that haven't quite separated. Though there are pulses of light travelling in multiple circuits, and they weren't as chaotic as the bigger picture. "So tell me, what do you see?"

She opened her notebook to the last page she was working on and continued writing. When she ran out of ink, she poked herself again. Then he mentioned the lack of magic here, which caused her to chuckle, "tell me about it. The amount of Qui here might fill that crystal ball. Fortunately, I have enough to be usable."

She took the glasses and placed them on her head as she made some more notes. Putting down the pen, she picked up the crystal ball. Pulling down the glasses, she peered at the ball, blinked, and peered closer. A brow raises to complement her puzzled look. Was this what he saw when he looked at her? She made one last close examination of the sphere before putting it back on the stand and pushing up the glasses. Picking up the pen, she, slowly, made some more notes still with that puzzled look.

Looking up to him, she inquired, "so - I look like a mess of lint with pulses of light running around to you?"

The more she saw, the more interested she got. She was not heavily in academics, but she did want to get that Master's degree in Dream Theory.
