Rory wasn't a superhero anymore, but that didn't stop her from scaling buildings and flipping from roof to roof like she used to do when she was one. And it didn't stop her from wearing her costume out and about. Sure, by here standards, it was pretty weird. But she didn't have a lot of other clothing right now and even if she had, Rory felt more comfortable as 'Adrastia' than she did 'Rory.'

She crouched somewhere high and watched people below, looking up just as someone flying zoomed past far up into the sky. Christ, this place was going to be hard to get used to.

She pulled out the gift Jude had gotten her, a small glass statue of Breakneck, and flipped it over in her hand.

He hadn't done this in ages. Just flying rather than travelling through circuits, he felt so free, it was as if he was finally able to stretch his feet after so long.

Rather than waste his time enjoying the view, Jaxon, or rather Fuse, as he was in costume right now, was on patrol and had to stay serious. Something could happen at any moment.

He happened to be travelling in the right direction it seemed, as he saw someone on a roof, dressed strangely, it was if... no, it couldn't be, could it?

Was this another superhero? He softly landed on the roof a few metres from the other person, his heart jumping in his throat. He was excited as much as any kid would be when meeting their heroes.

Adrastia watched as the person soared and landed not far from her. Granted, she wasn't allowed to be a superhero here and seeing as there were no major villains (excluding Broen) running around, she didn't see a point in even trying.

It was nice to wear the costume again. Felt like a little piece of comfort she couldn't find anywhere else.

Adrastia (Rory — whoever) stood up and waved the person over. Were they wearing a get-up? Or was she about to be made fun of for hers? She remembered a few people laughed at even the idea of a superhero.

"Uh, Hello? I am Ja- I mean Fuse, I'm a superhero." He was excited, and it was visible on his face. "Are you a superhero too? I mean it would be awesome if you were, and you are dressed like one, so..."

Jaxon/Fuse took a deep breath. "Hi." He said after a few seconds. "Nice to meet you."

Now that he calmed down, Fuse studied the other person clothing. He hadn't seen them before, but that was nothing out of the ordinary. People don't usually go around dressed in their costumes.

Speaking of which, when he compared their costumes, hers looked much better, making him feel self-conscious. "What if she thought I'm just a fake?"

Back home it was a question that barely needed to be asked. Villain or hero. They were both different. Adrastia didn't believe in the words the way some people did, but here, even to her, it was a question that caught someone off guard.

He didn't make fun of her. He was a superhero. Here? She wouldn't fault him, even if those days were passed her now.

Adrastia shook her head a little and laughed. "Uh, well, I used to be one back in my home dimension. There were a lot of superheroes there. It's nice to meet you, Fuse. I'm Adrastia." She paused. She'd have to get used to her real name again sometime anyway. "Or Rory, here."

"Adrastia," He said. It sounded amazing. Like some sort of Alien princess that you hear about in Comic books. The Fact that she told him her real name was odd, though understandable as it would be harder to track her down here. "Nice Name."

He felt a bit sorry for her when he realised that she longer functioned as a superhero. He personally would find it difficult to stop trying to help others. Leaning against a nearby air ventilator, He pondered what he might have done had he been in her situation.

Focusing back on the conversation, he asked her a question."Was there any sort of groups?" Could there be a justice league where she came from?

"Like.. hero groups? We had a lot. Uh, our major one was called The New Sentinel." Adrastia gave a little, sad sort of laugh and shook her head. She smiled at the thought of all of them.

"They were the biggest heroes. My team and I worked with them. Well, under them anyway. Uh... there as We The People. She was sort of the leader. Could duplicate herself and had this awesome riot shield that was colored like an American flag.

"Then Edmund Eldritch. He was the Magician. Real strong flippin' magic. Grumpy guy, not that pleasant to be around and he didn't seem to like people or dealing in small things. But he was useful.

"Requin was the big shark guy. Water manipulation. Strong water manipulation. He was nice. Had a French accent. Hell, had a French name. I never got to talk to him much, but he seemed cool.

"Deadman Switch. DMS for short. He was crazy, in a good way! At least, we think it was a boy. No one could ever tell. But he was always hyped up on what amounted to magical cocaine because if he ever slept... he exploded and knocked out a whole block.

"And lastly, there was Breakneck." Adrastia paused and pursed her lips, her smile faltered. "He, uh... I knew him best. He was a close friend. Kinetic manipulation. Moved fast. Hit hard. Reformed villain. He was... great. Just great."

"Awesome." Fuse said. Each of the people Adrastia mentioned sounded amazing. He paused, looking at her face closely. While he couldn't see her eyes, Fuse could see how her smile had disappeared.

"Do you miss them?" His voice was much calmer than it was earlier. His Fanboying was over now.

Adrastia nodded. "Yeah, of course. They taught me a lot. Saved my ass even more times than I could count."

She looked at this boy, Fuse, and tried to get an approximate age. She was at a bit of a loss, but this island still didn't make sense. For all she knew, he could be thousands of years old, but something told Rory he wasn't.

"How old are you, kid?"

"I'm about 14 now." He answered calmy. There was no reason to lie about it, even if he was in a disguise. "And yes, I am in Middle School."

Shifting his weight onto one leg, he stood quietly for a moment. after some time, he asked her. "Why did you come here?"
