"I dunno blood shops. Never been to one. Let look around. Arjean wondered how one looked anyways. Were they all covered in blood with a giant poster that read Blood Shop, or were they more subtle in appearance and looked like any other shop. The latter would be more hard to spot for, but the former sounded stupid and gross.

They were brought out of their thoughts about the blood shop when Joseph expressed his concern for Arjean trying to go to The Underground. Despite his attempts he was obviously interested and even described the place as cool, which could mean it was cold or amazing, and both were great. If it was a weapon dealing place there was no wonder why their mommy and Grandy liked it so much. Giggling was the only response Arjean had to Joseph's worry about them going to The Underground. "You can come with me," they suggested eagerly. They were supposed he didn't realize that's what they wanted, but they weren't very obvious about it. Well now he knew and now he could say if he wanted to go with them or not. Hopefully he would pick the fun answer and they could go on many adventures secretly like the people in Remi's picture books.

Joseph shrugged."I haven't been to one either.......... this island is quite odd and sells stuff and things that would be unacceptable to the out side world........." he said as he started to walk. He wondered what other things could be found that he couldn't find on the main land, such as magical items or perhaps a store that sold limbs and flesh, which he had heard of.

Joe instantly regret what he had said about the underground probably being cool but he secretly still thought it probably was."Uhh maybe we should just wait until we find out what it is first......... running into possible danger blind would be rather stupid of us........ other wise it sounds like fun" he said trying to persuade the oricenta other wise. Joseph rather disliked when his childish nature got him into trouble, mostly because he didn't want to seem childish eighty percent of the time."So...... uhh.... i don't want to be rude but tell me a bit more about your self...... any powers you have and umm.... what are you exactly" he said trying to make the wording as not rude as possible. Joseph was quite bad at talking to others and most of the time forgot to bring his manners, so he tried his best this time in hopes of making them his friend.

Joseph's answer didn't satisfy Arjean, but it didn't take long for them to get over it. They could find someone else to go with them, but he didn't seem completely against the idea. Arjean still wondered how they were supposed to find information on something that seemed to be so secret. Were they supposed to go around asking people until they gave an answer? That didn't seem very productive, especially if the answer wasn't known well or wasn't easy to get.

"Okay," they responded, accidentally slipping a bit of annoyance into their tone despite their attempt at responding cheerfully. The subject changed too quickly for Arjean to try thinking up better ways to find The Underground, and went into the direction of talking about themself. "O-Oh... Uh... I am a Cloud oricenta." Thinking about their powers was hard because there were powers that were unique to themself, but there were also powers unique to their species. Arjean went silent for a moment as they tried to think about which to talk about, but they decided to just speak about their own unique abilities and not their species' abilities.

Then came a new issue. They didn't know how to explain their powers all that well. It was something others explained for them, or they just played out. "U-Um... Water and cloud and, uh, air control..." they tried to explain. "A-And... I can make stuff too..." This is hard. That was the best way they could explain it. They could show it off, but they always felt more tired afterwards and that would mean their adventure would be over sooner. Maybe if they just made a small demonstration it wouldn't do much, yet there was another issue with that. Creating something from air was invisible, they had no water to use other than maybe spit (if that counted), and if they wanted to use clouds they needed to fly up to get closer to them.

Joseph glanced at Arjean as they responded and could tell that they were a bit disappointed with his suggestion. He thought to him self whether to speak out about it, but he decided it was best to just leave it so they didn't get onto some kind of pointless argument. So Joseph bit his tongue and rolled is eyes a bit, he hoped they wouldn't notice that he did so as he was trying to be as polite as he could manage.

"Cloud oricenta huh......... sounds like a fancy instrument......." he said examining Arjeans features and thought that they were pretty cool looking."Nice...... wings they are really cool...... do they work?". Josephs mind wander around further as to what abilities they had, did they have wind powers, maybe it was something that wasn't expected just like everything else was on this island so far. He started to circling them looking at all their features. Joseph was too caught up in thought and examination to even notice their silence, not stopping to even think about how they felt from all these questions. Joseph was truly blinded by the opportunity to acquire more knowledge.

Joe stopped when they started to explain their powers and listened intently."Hmm...... manipulation powers..... cool, i have those too..... but instead i can do stuff with blood" he said and shrugged lightly."Thats the reason why i'm looking for blood stores...... i have been running a bit low lately......" he said and looked up thinking for a second before looking back down and giving them a light smile."Least i'm not doing it alone...... thats a plus i guess".

The one issue Arjean always had with big kids and adults was that they used words that was confusing. Arjean always had to take a moment to remember where they heard those words, or use context clues to figure out what was being said. They remember the word instrument being something Rémi and their mommy speaking about from time to time, usually when they were near a piano or violin. They wanted to play one, but apparently they were too young to use the big ones and had to use the small ones for babies.

Then Joseph spoke about manipulation. Arjean definitely remembered learning that word, but it seemed to carry on different meanings. They were told it was a personality thing to not do, and they got punished a lot for doing it, but this seemed to be a power thing. They supposed manipulating a person can be used in the same way as manipulating air or water, but the word control feels easier and makes more sense.

Joseph seemed to be pleased with what he was seeing, especially their wings. "Yes, they work, see?" As they responded they flew around a bit to demonstrate, but only after they figured out what he was saying. Now that they thought about it, they weren't too happy to have their species type be called a piano or violin. That topic seemed to be over now, and he seemed interested in learning about them. Arjean was also very interested in learning about him, and wanted to know more about what he could do.

"Use animal blood. They have lots." The solution to his lack-of-blood problem seemed so simple. They were pretty sure hunting was allowed, so why couldn't he just go and kill animals to get some? "Um... there is a pet shop." They weren't too sure where it was since their family never liked them to be around animals, but they could also go to the forest too. Other species could probably work, but they worried the ones in the forest would be more wild and less tame. The smaller ones would be easier, but sometimes they were the worst and had to be frozen. Pet shop animal blood seemed to be the easiest way, as long as those animals also didn't put up too much of a fight. No matter what, Arjean didn't want to deal with death. Even the memory of a rotting corpse made Arjean scrunch up their nose and want to puke, yet they tried to retain a hopeful expression so Joseph would accept their suggestion.

Joseph looked up in awe at the oricenta flying around, it was amazing to him since he hadn't seen any other person flying that he encountered on the island that far."Thats so cool" he said and his expression changed from dull to one of excitement."It must be awesome being able to fly around anywhere you want. I can just imagine being able to fly over the city" he said before noticing that he was rambling on like an idiot. He shook his head and his expression returned back to normal.

He had never thought of using animal blood before, for a matter of a fact he had no idea if that would even work, but now he just wanted to try to use some to see what would happen. Though Joseph didn't like the idea of hurting animals and others for his own personal gain because thats exactly what his father used him for."Hmm i never really thought about using animals blood....... but i rather leave them be and buy the stuff the civil way". When Arjean mentioned the pet shop Joseph looked at them with a worried expression on his face."Uhh a pet shop is where you go to adopt animals and....... show them love and junk...... i think that would be illegal and a bit sick....... to kill one from a pet shop" he said and tried to keep his dull expression from turning into one of disgust.

He thought it was a good idea to change the topic now before things got a bit too awkward for Joseph."So..... umm how long have you been on this island for......" he said trying to sound as interested as possible. Though he was some what interested in the questions its self, he had no cule if Arjean was one of those beings that looked little and acted childish but were acually really old despite hearing about their parents.

Arjean loved showing off what they could do, but they loved the attention it brought them even more. Sometimes they wondered if they should become a performer like their mommy and Rémi to get lots of attention daily for just being amazing. Joseph's face even broke off from a dull expression to one of amazement as he went on to do a quick ramble about how cool flying was! Arjean didn't understand that since almost everyone they knew personally could fly, and where they were born if you couldn't fly it was a birth defect, punishment, or a disability. He had no sign of wings though, and it was obvious he wasn't an oricenta, so maybe that's why he was surprised by flight.

They eventually stopped flying and landed down a bit wobbly when he spoke about the animal blood. He seemed to like the idea, but then he dropped it quickly. There was even a weird expression on his face when he looked back down at Arjean as he mentioned the pet shop idea. They didn't understand how it was illegal or "a bit sick," because wasn't it possible to still take blood from an animal but love them "and junk"?

Before Arjean could point out the flaws in what he was saying he went onto some other topic. They were sort of annoyed by the sudden topic change, but maybe he wasn't good at staying on topic, particularly when he was wrong. Instead he asked them how long they've been on the island, which they've never really thought about. They knew they were born in Lehora in Ilada, and sometimes they visited when their family had business meetings there, but most of their memories were of Manta Carlos Islands. "I-I dunno," they responded unsure. "M-Maybe... uh... a year... or two...?"

Joseph could tell that him shutting down little Arjean's ideas was an annoyance to them and he cringed at the fact that he was being a let down. Though you could tell that he was trying his hardest to be socially acceptable, even if it was extremely far from perfect. He just remembered his mothers wise words and kept trying to seem acceptable as possible."Uhh.... sorry for being such a..... whats the word..... buzzkill, yea sorry for being a....... buzzkill" he said and mad.

"Hmm.... a year or two..... well thats much longer then me. Maybe you could help me get to know this place a little better, so i don't get into any trouble or lost like you." he said as he snickered slightly. It was quite a playful jab, but in all honestly Joe needed someone to tell him more about the island, show him around a bit and who knew maybe even have some fun while doing so.

"Buzzkill?" Arjean questioned. "Is that a bee?" They didn't understand why he was calling himself a type of bee, or a bee killer, or whatever it had to do with a bee and the sound it made, but they didn't really care. Arjean was more focused on how long he's been on the island and how that made them his guide sort of. When he pointed out how they got lost they pouted a bit and looked away anxiously. "Not that lost... or in trouble..." Arjean didn't feel like they were in any trouble, but Joseph seemed to not care that much judging from his laugh. They tried to follow along with his laugh, figuring it was a joke they didn't understand. It was never fun to make a joke just for the person to not understand at all and have no (positive) reaction to it. They were good at looking and sounding happy, even if they weren't, so a childish and upbeat giggle came easy to them.

"I dunno where blood shop is," they told Joseph after they finished up their laugh. "Wanna ask someone?"

"No its not a type of bee........ it just means a person that shuts down fun ideas..... from what i have heard" he said and put his hand on his chin as if he was thinking hard about something. He wondered what Arjean thought of him since most found Joseph not very fun to be around. For some reason Joe was afraid, something he hadn't been in a long time, but not normal fear for some reason he was afraid of making him self look boring or rude, he really did care about making new friends and this made him more uneasy."Yea i know your not that lost or in trouble i was just...... poking fun as they would say......" he said followed by a little nervous laughter.

"....Oh y-yea we should probably ask someone...... i'm kinda.... shy, so i'm glad i have you here" he said as he scanned around for anyone else around he deemed to look like they knew where such a place was.
