Oh good, she didn't take his action as an insult. With a start, ELi realised that if he could stand still, he could pause conversations at any point and no one as far as he knew would notice.

At the latest step in negotiations, Eli was quiet for a moment. She wasn't taking him home, so he could keep walking afterwards, and they didn't need to keep near each other once they left the zone. Maybe it was the way she was raised, but she seemed a bit too close to him. Overall though, it sounded like a good idea to him. "I guess I have no problem if you accompany me?"

Huilu was very well aware that she must've seemed strange, acting this way even though they had just met. But Huilu was also a worrywart to a fault and thus couldn't let a youngster she had just seen in trouble alone. She did step away from Eli a bit, as not to make him uncomfortable, and nodded, friendly smile on her face.
"After you, Eli. You do know these streets better than me."

"Alright then." He nodded, and started to walk ahead of her. Eli may have had someone following him now, but it didn't stop him from his observations of the city. He'd stop and look in a shop window, photograph the skyline, and other assorted actions.

He did turn every now and then to make sure he hadn't lost Huilu though. From the way she spoke, she seemed like she was new to town. Even if he didn't want her there the entire time, Eli's Instincts knew it would be a problem if she got lost.

Huilu followed Eli and soon caught up to him, walking a meters or two away from him. She barely noticed Eli stopping here and there because she did exactly the same, sliding slightly ahead to look at something or gaze up at the sky or squat down to look at something on the ground. She pointed things out for Eli, like a pattern on a wall or a plant in a surprising place and things like that. The whole time Huilu had the look of open, almost innocent-seeming wonder in her eyes as she looked at everything like it was brand new.
"Night truly has its own magic, doesn't it? I could get lost in that early evening sky."
Huilu smiled a small friendly smile at Eli and started swirling patterns of ice between her two hands.

He took note of what she pointed out to him, surprised at just how much he was missing. Even the random position of bricks on aseemed to amaze her. It was like he was leading a kid at a museum.

Eventually, he heard her stop, and did the same to see her smiling at him. She was weird. But a nice weird. "Yeah. It's a nice time to wander and wonder."

Despite it not quite being that late, a few stars could be seen, and as he watched, a single shooting star went flying past. "Nice." Eli nodded, smiling back at Huilu.

"What are you making there?" He asked, gesturing to the ice forming in her hand.

"You wander and wonder your way through life, but sometimes you slow down enough to understand you are doing it."
Huilu's smile was melancholic for a second and she turned to look at the night sky as well. She saw the shooting star and the smile disappeared from her face. She looked at the darkening night sky, feeling nostalgic.
It was the same sky after all.

As Eli asked Huilu a question she smiled slightly and turned to her hands were facing Eli. Patters of ice were swirling between her hands.
"I'm making these streets, the flower growing between the cracks on the pavement, the light shining from the windows and that shooting star that died with a small, powerful flash."
With every thing she listed a new distinct pattern appeared on the ice and Huilu formed a small abstract statue made of ice.

He listened to her speak as the ice formed. She had lots of control, and it displayed itself, creating a unique piece that he could see as the street. "Woah," He softly said.

"Can I hold it?" He asked, already reaching for it.

She was strange, and probably far older than she looked, but she had a way of seeing things. Just who was this person?

Huilu could see the wonder in Eli's eyes as he gazed upon her statue, and that was all Huilu could ever ask for from someone observing her art. Feelings, emotions and images were what Huilu transferred into the pieces she made, and whenever they succeeded in evoking those same things in the person spectating Huilu could feel satisfied.

Huilu smiled slightly and floated the statue over to Eli when he reached for it.
"I will give it to you if you accept it. My art for me is something I do to bring out the wonder and beauty I see in the world, once the piece is done it will never leave my mind."
Though Huilu wasn't sure if Eli would accept such a thing from a stranger she hoped so.
"My ice is magical. It will not melt without magical fire."

Was this wisdom or Eccentricity? He took the statue, and feeling the coolness of the, weighed it. It wasn't that heavy, but it was as if he could sense what she was thinking when she made it. "Thanks." He said, still agape at the item he was now holding. "I'll make sure to look after it." He just had to keep Sweet Lime from trying to eat the magical ice.

"Are you sure you want to give it to me, though?" They only just met, why was she giving him gifts?

Huilu smiled, slightly relieved, when Eli promised to look after her statue. Huilu was happy to see Eli was please with it, and she nodded a bit at the boy.
"I trust you will, I can see you are a person of your word."

When Eli asked if she was sure she wanted to give the statue to him Huilu nodded and smiled.
"You are a part of this evening, and why it was made so special that statue was inspired. In a way you were a part of making it. So it's just as much yours as it is mine."
With that Huilu started walking along the street slowly again, and she started collecting new bits and pieces of wonder around her.
