They were finally getting Aaron a roommate, and he was sort of excited. He'd never had one before, although he'd shared a house with his family, including his sisters. His sisters had had to share a room sometimes, but he had gotten out of it because he was a boy. It might be a little weird sharing a room, but it's not like he would stay holed up in it all the time, and hopefully there wouldn't be another virus outbreak. At least Aaron was pretty laid-back. He wasn't messy, but he was nowhere near a perfectionist and could pretty much get along with anyone.

The boy hoped his roommate would be normal, though. Well human anyways. It wasn't that he had anything against the numerous other citizens on the island, but he was having doubts about his own humanity since he'd gotten the demon strain of the March Virus. He didn't like the way a lot of other demons would casually comment that he smelt familiar. Or other creatures like werewolves would say he didn't quite smell like a normal human. He wasn't ready to deal with that. Certainly not from someone he'd be living with for at least the rest of the semester.

He hadn't done much to prepare other than making sure his side of the room was clean. He didn't have very many things anyways. A picture of his Mom and sisters on his desk and a funny poster of a moose and some medals for sprinting on his wall were pretty much his only decorations. Right now he was just lying on his bed watching stupid videos on the internet instead of doing his homework while he waited to see who his new roommate was.

Getting to his new room was nothing short of a challenge for Leucos. Of course, everything in the universe seemed to enjoy conspiring to make getting from point A to point B. First it had started with moving his things from his old room to his new one. After barely managing to fit everything in their designated suitcases, one of said suitcases decided to take a detour down the stairs. Five minutes of chasing a rogue suitcase around the school had put him slightly behind schedule, although he managed to get things under control and continue on his way.

Then it was the matter of finding the room. Several wrong turns, and much confused pacing made up the majority of the time he spent lost. All the while, Leucos maintained a steady stream of choice curse words muttered in Norwegian. Eventually he located the correct wing of the Dorms and began to scan the room numbers. As he became aware of how close he was, he slowly became more anxious. What was his roommate like? Were they human? Were they nice? How old were they? "I should have probably asked more questions now that I think about it.." He muttered under his breath.

Eventually he reached the correct room. He stopped and stared at the door that separated him from his new roommate. All of his old fears came rushing back and he froze with his hand on the door knob. Hundreds of scenarios flashed in his mind, most were extreme figments of his imagination that would never come to pass. However each that he thought of increased his trepidation by a small amount. Subconsciously, he took off the bracelet that usually sealed his powers. Immediately he could sense the person beyond the door, their emotional state seemed normal, equal parts excited and curious. Possibly apprehension but Leucos was too busy concentrating elsewhere to be sure.

With a deep breath, he shook his head and turned the door knob entering into the room.

When he heard the door open, Aaron paused the video and sat up on his bed to get a better look at his new roomie. At first glance, the other boy seemed to be human, or at least there was nothing too odd about him. He did have gray hair even though he looked a little younger than Aaron, and his eyes were an unusual colour, but other than that not much stood out. Of course, he could still be a demon or a werewolf or some such thing. Aaron had already met a demon who looked perfectly human, and werewolves generally looked like people unless they were shifted.

These things were so confusing. He couldn't just blurt out - are you some sort of non-human creature that will make ambiguous references to me possibly not being human? Aside from being rude and maybe sounding just a bit crazy, he certainly didn't want to draw attention to his doubts whether or not his new roommate was in fact fully human. He wasn't even sure if it would be okay to ask about powers or anything - what did you say to a stranger you just met who was going to be living with you the rest of the year?

Probably he should introduce himself before he worried about anything else. Amused at himself, Aaron stood up from his bed and walked over to the other boy, holding his hand out for a handshake. He noticed that they were almost the same height, himself being just a bit shorter. The boy was used to it by now - he was comfortable with his average height, even if he sometimes wished he were a little taller.

"Aaron Jacobs. Nice to meet ya. And what's yer name?"

"U-hm hello.." Luke said with an uncertain waver in his voice. Normally, most people ignored him and passed him by. He shook the other boy's hand and tried to keep his hesitance from bleeding through his already cracked emotional walls. "I'm Leucos..but most people just call me Luke.." He trailed off and pushed his bangs out of his face. "I-..Erm..Do I have the correct room..? It's just..everything looks the same here.." He trailed off once again as his accent began to bleed through in his uncertain tone.

Luke was stuck between blushing in embarrassment, and trying to look at this new acquaintance without looking like a total creeper. He seemed normal enough, average teenager in every sense of the word. Although with the few people he'd come into contact with in the forest and the Library, he knew better than to assume he was simply human. Everyone had something going on under the surface, and he was no exception.

Luke fidgeted with the restraining bracelet fixed around his left wrist. A habit he had come to repeat anytime he was worried or nervous. "Well wonderful. You've already screwed up. He probably thinks you're completely weird beyond redemption." He thought to himself.
