The warning signs started popping up in Jesse's head, telling him to back away slowly and then head for the hills. However, against his better judgement, he stayed where he was. He swallowed, trying keep calm, and smiled slightly again.
"I... uh... I... I-I-I don't mind..." he managed to say.

"Here you go a check for five hundred thousand dollars. You can do anything with it. And don't worry. I don't need it so- Please keep it. It's my pleasure to give it to you."
Jesse looked at her. "I..." Ok, I seriously can't accept this... although... no! he thought to himself. It was tempting to take it, but what could he do with all that money? He didn't need it either.
