Tossing the pills into her mouth, she chewed them up and swallowed them whole, seeing as she hadn’t thought to bring a bottle of water.
”Technically speaking, the components of the mixture don’t actually do anything, it’s the symboli-” She began to explain, stopping herself short as she realized that Caissa definitely already knew this. ”Yeah, it’s morphine. I didn’t wanna mess with needles, though.” She explained halfheartedly.
She sat back now, resting easier now that Caissa was speaking. She took long pauses between her words, but something was better than nothing at all, and she didn’t mind a bit of silence in which to collect her thoughts. Had they done it? She was too afraid to form the question, but it was burning in the back of her mind. She bade her time as Caissa appeared to be regaining her senses much slower than she originally expected.
”...Soooo, how are you, uh, feeling?” She asked, after a few minutes of silence. ”Caissa?” Tilly inquired, waving a hand in front of her face, a look of concern ”Do I need to get the shock pa- Eep!” She squealed as Caissa’s fingers dug into her arm.
Her free hand came to rest over Caissa’s, keeping pressure on it, at first to alleviate the pain of her strong grip, and then to try to support her as she realized what was happening. She tried to take a peek at her with her mage’s senses, but… Huh, no signal. Whatever she was going through right now was purely physical, which made Tilly about as useful as a screen door on a submarine.
She probably should have expected something like this, but when Caissa finally regained her senses, she was still able to catch Tilly off guard. She drew an inch or two away from Caissa, her face burning, and gave a little huff of superiority.
”-Wizard.” She corrected, again. ”Of course it worked- wait, it worked?” She blinked, actually doing a double take before moving in closer, as if examining her with a magnifying glass. ”How do you know?”
