Shir by this point had gotten to a point where he sort of had a handle on how to read his girlfriend. He could interpret her little ticks and cues about as well as anyone he was close to. He kind of figured whatever was getting to her, it had to do with her family. Maybe that would subside, but then her cousin went missing. Of course she was pretty freaked out about that. Who wouldn't be concerned about the only blood relative they had left going missing?
Still, maybe it was too much? Lately things seemed to be intensifying steadily. The mood swings were pretty noticeable. Then there was her crying over that sword guy at the center. Shir was in the process of trying to bring it up. He figured now would be as good a time as any, he said he was coming over to her place to hang out. Serious talks always made him nervous, especially when he was the one opting to voice concerns.
Shir stood at her door and knocked in his usual way. "Hey it's me," he called.
