Build: Spindly Full Body Reference Note: Vinnie doesn't look blue to people. Hair color, skin color, and the like change depending on how people want to see them and what makes a particular person most comfortable. While Vinanye's ability makes them change appearance to anyone who sees them. Certain attributes remain the same, even with their magic. Azure eyes, being the most noticeable. Without the magic of Underhill interfering, Vinanye's skin is designed like the black opal. The purple patterns that decorate their skin are ever changing and never repeat twice. Their hair is bright blue and Vinnie prefers to keep their hair short. They have a preference for ornate clothing that gives a hint to their ranking within the court of Precious Stone and shows off their lanky figure. Vinnie's female shape's waist is subtly more curved than her male's and her male form's shoulders are a tad broader than her female form. The significant difference between a male Vin and a female one would be the eyes. In their male form, Vin's eyes are sharper, smaller, and a hint slanted. |
Personality
Vinanye is a wear your heart on your sleeve kind of person. They view the world with childish excitement and wonder. They are constantly trying to find ways to relate to people, to talk to them, and to enjoy their company. Vinnie is a social butterfly at heart and is quick to give their love and support to someone while slow to pull it away.
They have never cared about being different and aren't at all shy about who they are or what they want. Vinanye wants to experience everything the world has to offer and is always up for an adventure.
While Vin understands the Children of Underhill, they don't quite know the body language of other creatures and so are prone to miss things said between the lines. That isn't a matter of stupidity as much as it is of cultural clash.
They are endlessly chirpy and try their best not to let the world get them down or break them. Vinanye doesn't believe in tears or funerals. The culture they come from is intent on not talking about the past and always moving forward. Ambition is a requirement in the court of Precious Stone.

Actives
Mark of the Fae: Vinanye is capable of giving someone the mark of the Fae. This mark deems someone a friend or foe of a particular court Under the Hill. All Fae can see this mark and know who gave it and which court the Fae who placed it belongs to. The mark does nothing but lets other Fae know where this person stands with a distinct court when the mark is seen. Vinnie must state openly to the person they have marked that they have been marked and which mark has been given to them. They must also say to which court their mark applies.Physical Alteration: Vinanye can change the length of their hair.
Passives
Calming Aura: The magic surrounding Vin works to make people calm and put them at ease. They may not be aware of it, but they're far more likely to open up to Vinanye. Instinctually, people don't want to harm Vin.For those inclined to harm those they like and have the desire to protect, Vinanye's magic doesn't prevent this. Because of this aura, people tend to get protective over Vin.
Don't think of this aura as personality altering, because it doesn't force people to act in ways they would never act. How people treat those important to them is how they'd want to treat Vin.
Comforting Characteristics: Vinanye takes on the characteristics that are familiar and comforting to any individual who is looking at them.
This power can alter Vin's voice, build/facial shape, hair color, skin color, and scent. The physical alterations must be consistent with whatever gender Vin has taken at the given time, and their eyes will always remain an azure blue, and their height will be consistent. Of all these altercations, smell is by far the weakest.
What one person sees when they look at Vinanye is not what another will see. Unfortunately for Vin, they are not aware how others see them.
The illusions of this ability hold up against touch but are disrupted by videos and pictures. In either, they appear as they would without the magic. This isn't seen while filming or looking through a lens, but once the video or picture is taken, Vinnie's true form is revealed.
Fae Blood: Vinanye's blood has an addictive quality.
Gem Finder: Being made from a gem, Vinnie also has a tendency of finding gemstones around the world. They cannot create these gems and finding them is by pure chance. Vinanye has an irrepressible urge to give these gems to those who have been kind to them. They cannot control this; it is at Underhill's whim that Vin may stumble upon a gemstone.
Sensitive to Magic: Vin has an easy time honing in on magic and feeling how it works. That doesn't mean Vin understands what particular magic does, but they are sensitive to magic in the air and have an innate understanding of how said magic moves and interacts with things.

Aura Warning Bracelet: While not actually magical, Manta Carlos distributes customized bracelets for those with auras. Depending on the shape and color, people can tell at a glance the approximate range and nature of the aura of the wearer.Simple Language Charm (Fae): This is the standard language charm provided to most characters. It translates a characters mother tongue into English, and allows them to hear English as their mother tongue.
Weaknesses
Fae Debts: Vinanye is honor-bound by the debts she makes. She is bound by a particular debt until it has been paid. Magic makes her agree to a request when she is bound, so long as the request is equal to the debt she owes.The number of favors does not repay debts. If you were to save her or her child's life, she is obliged by code to repay such a favor. Depending on what you do for that Fae it can be repaid in one to one hundred favors.
Vinanye can break a debt and tell a person no, but if she does she would be branded an outsider to Underhill and all its inhabitants, never to return again.
Iron: Vin is weak to Iron. Touching iron feels like severe burning and being around iron (like being locked in a cage of iron) is just constant, throbbing pain. It's enough pain that Vinanye would be on the floor, writhing in agony.
Lesser Fae: While Vinanye is technically full Fae where Underhill and their magic is concerned, among the Fae, Vinnie is considered one of the lesser Fae, or the half-Fae. Where Vinanye is from, being one of the lesser Fae means being prey.
Lies: Can't tell a direct lie. Lying through omision and half-truths don't count against this. Lying due to misinformation is also not considered lying. Vin must know she's lying.
History
○ Teinadae was born from Fae magic and a black opal from Lightning Ridge, Australia. They grew up learning to rule in a Court ravished by war. Coonsidered Half-fae among Underhill put them in grave danger.○ As Tein reached adolescence and things got worse, Adhelien, their mother, taught them the human tongue and what she knew of Earth.
○ Upon adulthood, Teinadae was given the identity of Vinanye and sent off to Manta Carlos to protect her from the other Fae Courts.
Resources
Well off with a rich extended family. Her and her husband both run a well-known salon. They live in a large manor touched by Fae magic and connected to Underhill.
