"You're not gonna mess anything up," he'd say with a snort. "Everything is going perfect," he'd say, giving her that small sweet smile only a few got to see from him.

He'd chuckle a tiny bit. "Well....maybe we'll end up having a few classes together?" That was a nice thought, though he wasn't really sure what classes she'd be put in after moving up.

The waitress would briefly return, giving them their drinks before leaving again. "So...uh....I made you something." Reaching into his bag he'd pull out his notepad, removing a sheet from it he'd pass it to her, it was a drawing of Izzy in his cage. "Worked on it for a while."

"Gahh... you know... your right. Your right. I am just overthinking just... want things to perfectly. And they will go perfectly when I stop worrying about it. Deep breaths... deep breaths." said Amber as she gulps up a breath of air. While the conversation was directed to Nathan, she half of what she was saying was just speaking to herself out loud.

As she collects herself, she catches him smiling again and she can't help but smile in return. There was just something extra special she catches Nathan smiling even when he tried to keep it to himself.

"Oh what are you smiling at?~" giggled Amber teasingly before she then replies to his comment about having classes together "Well it would be nice to some classes together. Make it easier to pick out a partner for project or group assignment. Maybe when we can choose our next electives we can see about trying to align our schedules with one another."

When the waitress returned, Amber thanked her for the beverage. When Nathan told her about a gift, all of Amber's eyes seemed to light up as she leaned in with curious interest.

"Oh? You did? Well what is it?" she asked, waiting until it was revealed to be a drawing of Nathan's new pet. Amber lout out a quite awe as she cluched the illustration closer to her, smiling warmly to Nathan.

"Awww... thank you. You are a really good artist. Maybe you should draw Waddles sometime."

Reachung out he'd take her hand, giving it a gentle squeeze he'd offer her a smile. "I'm already having an amazing time," he'd lace his fingers with hers.

"Me smiling?" he'd ask blushing. "Am I smiling?" he'd clear his throat. "Well...y'know," he'd clear throat, "I'm on a date with my beautiful girlfriend, so, I'm happy I guess." That was true, he was happier than he'd been in a long time.

He'd chuckle. "Well, I could come over sometime and draw him if you'd like," he'd offer with a nod. "With a turtle I won't have to worry about him holding still at least, Izzy is super active, I drew that while he was sleepy."

The waitress would appear, their food floating just above her hands, she'd serve them before floating away.

"Mhmmm... yeah! You totally were!" laughed Amber as she watched Nathan squirm a bit when she pointed out that he was smiling.

"Well Waddles can be pretty mellow but he can but can be surprisingly active when he feels like it." commented Amber just as the food is arrived.

Amber thanked the waitress before she quickly left to attend another table. With the food laid out before her, she snacked on a few of the truffle fries before trying the mushroom pasta.

"Mhmmm! Delicious! I am so glad you found this place. Want to try a fry?" offered Amber as she holds out a single fry for Nathan to take if he so pleases.

He'd accept the fry, eating it. "Oh those are really good," he'd steal one more with a playful smirk. He'd ordered a spicy shrimp dish. "Wanna try?" skewering one of the shrimp on a fork he'd offer it to her.

The vampire would take a sip of the blood based drink he'd ordered. "We'll have to come here again, it's really good," he was relieved that it was good, he'd been worried about that.

"Ok, so, adorable book spider," he'd say with a smile. "Have you tried writing any?" he was curious about that.

"Sure!" perked up Amber as she leaned forward to take the offered piece of shrimp with a delicate bite. She chews for a bit and savors the bite, then dabs her mouth with her napkin like the proper lady that she is "Mhmmm... de-licious! Definitely have another date here to try out more of their food!"

When inquired about her prospects into writing, she clacked the tip of her index finger on the tabletop. For all of her love for books, she has never really been really into the writing part of things. Or at least... writing stuff that she was proud of.

"Ummm... not really. I mean... writing a whole book is like... a really daunting task. I like literature but... not enough that I try my hand at making my own." replied Amber, technically a small lie but in her mind she only really done short, few page stories that she didn't think where all that great. But before Nathan could get any ideas into prying into that she decided to turn the question back on him "What about you Nathan? Working on any novels yourself?"

He'd tilt his head, smirking a tiny bit. "I'm an artist, not a writer," he'd motion to the drawing he'd given her. "So no writing, but maybe one day I'll draw a book cover?" that was both a terrifying and exciting thought.

The vampire would lean over, looking at her a moment. "So, got nothing I can read?" he'd ask playfully, "no short stories I can take a look at."

The vampire would take a big drink of his blood based beverage. "Have you started those novels I gave you? Liking them so far?"

"Nope! Absolutely nothing!" insisted Amber rather quickly, smiling as though she had nothing to hide. Nothing except for old stories scrawled onto old notebooks that she would dare let not see the light of day. When asked about those novels Amber grew quite giddy to discusses those books.

"Oh started? I am almost finished them already! It's a really good series and l am going to be bummed when finish the last book. I don't want you to spoil anything for me but I am thinking that..." she then goes onto a long rant about how she thinks the book will end, theories about the characters, and the underlying message the author was trying to convey. With how passionenly she is nerding out, it's clear that she is hooked on the books Nathan gifted to her.

The vampire would tilt his head. "You answered that awfully quickly," he'd say playfully. "Don't have any hidden writings?" he was guessing she did, but he wasn't going to press it beyond a little light teasing.

He'd listen to her theories about the novel's climax, smiling amd chuckling. "Don't worry, I'll resist spoiling the ending," he'd take a bite of his food, his meal starting to dwindle. "The author has other books you can read, different stories but I hear they're all really good."

Nathan would look at her a moment, blushing a bit, waiting for her to finish her food. "Ok...so....I have a slightly embarrassing thing to admit," he'd clear his throat. "When I picked you up...I wanted to kiss you...but was afraid that I might mess up your makeup, it looks really nice."

"Mhmm do they? Well maybe we can find them in the bookstore section?" suggested Amber as she tilts her head take gander at the bookstore part of the building.

When Nathan mentioned how he didn't want to get her make-up Amber had a giggle fit. She thought it was cute and curtious of him to be so considerate of her. Especially when she spent such a long time applying all of the make-up and wouldn't want to look smudgy.

"Awww... thanks! Hee hee... and it isn't all that embarrassing. Its actually sort of adorable and I appreciate that you didn't mess up my make-up. I mean... you know how much time I spent looking this glam for you? Oh tis the price of beauty I suppose."
