He wore his nicest clothes, had even attempted to brush his naturally messy spiky hair. Nathan had never been on a date before, yet here he was, about to go on a date with his girlfriend. He'd look up at the building before stepping in, finding an elevator he'd take it up.

Soon enough he found the right door, so he'd knock and wait. If someone asked if he was never he'd say he wasn't, and that would be a lie. The vampire would take a calming breath, a small smile appearing when they door opened.

"Hey Amber," he'd saw when the spider girl popped her head out. "You look really nice, pretty," he'd take a step towards her, intending to hug her. @Pallas

Amber had spend the past 2 HOURS prior picking out her outfit and trying on make-up for her first ever official date with her boyfriend. Maybe she was being a bit ridiculous as her sister said but this was important for her. She wanted everything to be perfect and she was going to spend every moment looking her best.

As Amber arrived, it was clear that she overdressed for what was an otherwise simple occasion, wearing a deep lavender dress. The skirt of the dress the covers over her entire abdomen and all but the tips of her feet, making her look like she was wearing one of those hooped dresses from the old days. Continuing upwards the lavender dress continues upwards, reaching just below her collarbone where it terminates into a frilly lace as two thin purple straps across her shoulders was all that was holding it up. Her entire arms were exposed to show off the freshly waxed chitin and each tip of her finger was painted with light lavender like painted fingernails even though Amber completely lacks them.

Across her neck was simple choker, nothing more than a strap of purple cloth with a large piece of amber polished into an oval gemstone. Within that piece of amber was a large black spider trapped inside the resin. Her hair was keep as small ponytail instead of her usual bun and was held in place by a large lilac bow instead of a plain hair tie. On each here there are simple, There are small earrings shaped like little silver hearts. With help from her family, Amber has a wears modest makeup with some foundation to hide the few blemishes, blush to bring out the color in her cheeks, purple eye shadow to go with her outfit and some mascara to really bring out the yellow in her eyes. Amber was nearly late prettying herself up but in her eyes, totally worth with.

"Hi Nathan!" greeted Amber, gushing about being called pretty as she returns the hug.

He'd give her a gentle kiss on the cheek, not wanting to mess up her makeup. "I kinda....sorta.....got a little lost in the building," he'd admit with a tiny grumble that somehow sounded happy. "Never been in a building like this before," he'd say with a tiny chuckle.

"You ready to go?" he'd ask, giving her hand a gentle squeeze. "Or....did you want me to come in for a bit?" he hadn't met any of her family, wasn't really sure if he should go in, shake hands and all that.

A few bits of his spiky hair would suddenly shoot up, his hand would go up in an attempt to brush it down. "Damn hair won't stay down," he'd say, blushing a bit.

Amber freezes the moment she was pecked on the cheek my Nathan's lips, then looked as she was going to melt. She was still a little out of it when Nathan asked if she was ready to go.

"Ahhh?! Oh... yes! I'm ready. Lets just, get going... heh." answered Amber, taking his hand and hurrying him to the elevator. She was eager to get going and didn't quite feel like introducing Nathan to her family quite yet. Not that she felt like they wouldn't like it, she just didn't feel like being teased any more than she has already.

As the two waited in the elevator, Amber couldn't help help but scootle closer to Nathan and rest her head on his arm.

The vampire would look down at the spider girl, as she leaned on him he'd give her hand a gentle squeeze. "The dress is really nice," he'd say, feeling a little awkward, but fighting through it. His usually grumpy look had faded considerably.

"I..uh....went ahead and checked out the restuarant," he'd clear his throat a little, "they have all kinds of food, even blood and people based ones." He wanted to make sure the restaurant had the food to go with their diet.

The elevator would ding as it arrived, and the couple would exit. "I have a taxi for us," this date was gonna take quite a bit out of his money, but it was worth it. He'd open the door to the taxi, helping her in if needed, luckily the taxi was designed for non human beings.

"Oh, you did? Couldn't we have taken a bus?" remarked Amber before seeing the taxi waiting for the two of them. "Ah well... I guess the taxi will take us directly there anyway."

Amber was about ready to shift to her humanoid form until see the interior of the car and realize that she could actually be able sit in her normal form, which was a pleasant change. Its not always that you can find a means of comfortable transportation.

"Ah, thank you Nathan~" said an appreciative Amber at Nathan's show of chivalry. Once seated, she patted the unoccupied seat next to her to invite Nathan to sit next to her.

He'd move into the cab, sitting next to her, holding her hand and telling the cab where to go. "Yeah, I figured the bus would be to cold," he remembered her saying she had a cold weakness, so he didn't want her to get sick. "Besides...this is..maybe a little more romantic?" he'd say, blushing a little.

The cab would pull out, driving through the city, moving quickly thanks to the low number of private vehicles. They'd arrive in front of the restuarant, a book store right next to it. Nathan would exit the cab, helping Amber out of it, flashing a smile as he led her in. The restuarant wasn't fancy but it was nice, with a comfortable atmosphere. "I read that they have food for all kinds of diets," he'd say, looking at her.

An employee quickly showed them to an empty table and took their drink orders, Nathan would get a blood based one. "How was your New Years?" he'd ask, curious about what she and her family did.

"Hee... I think its a limo that is considered romantic. But... hey I guess a taxi can considered romantic in this instance." Amber could hear the driver let out a low groan. Slightly embarrassed, she uses her knuckles to cover her lips as to avoid letting out a snarky chuckle.

Amber alternated looking out the cab window and glancing over at Nathan to see how he is. While she was infatuated with her new boyfriend she didn't want to be overly infatuated nor clingy with him as much as she wanted. She would hate to become that overbearing girlfriend stereotype. When they finally arrived, Amber graciously took Nathan's hand as she exited the vehicle.

"Ah thank you Nathan!" chriped Amber as she was helped out of the cab and to the restaurant. She then takes a gander at its patrons through the windows then returns her eyes back to Nathan "I say you did a pretty good job for our first date. Alright well I am hungry so lets eat!"

It was not long the waitress escorted them to their table. Upon taking her seat, she looked over the menu trying to make her choice. When Nathan asked her about New Years, her human eyes are still looking down on the menu but the eyes on her forehead seem to be watching him as she gives him an answer.

"Well... it was nice. Nothing too eventful. Just watching the fireworks and chatting and snacking. But honestly its nice to have just a calm night with my family. Its easy for things to get hectic in the household. Especially with Aunt Malara."

He'd smile a tiny bit. "That sounds nice," he'd look down at his menu. "When I picked you up I was kinda expecting your sister to pop up and tease us," he'd say with a small chuckle. "They didn't tease you to badly did they?"

Nathan would eventually pick a spiced beef meal. "So...uh...I've never been on a date before," he'd admit, clearing his throat, "but I've been looking forward to this." Amber was kind and sweet, he liked spending time with her.

The waitress would appear and take their order, quite literally vanishing once they had. "So, did they move you up to high school like you wanted?" he'd ask curiously. "I know you said you were gonna ask about it."

"Hence why I wanted to get us out the door before they could." admitted Amber with a chuckle. While she knew it wouldn't have been all that bad... she didn't want them to do something that would make their first date weird or anything.

Amber would review over the entire menu once more. After some deliberation, Amber settled on a truffle fries as her appetizer and creamy mushroom pasta. She didn't feel too much in the mood for something with human right now.

"Well... hey I never been on date either. So its a first for me too! I mean... I always thought about how my first date will turn out and how I try not to think of the ways I could mess it all up. But uhh... well here we are! Ha ha... heh..." When the waitress came by Amber left gave them her order, then returned her attention back to Nathan as he asked her about being bumped up to high school.

"Oh that? Heh... yeah that sounds like that is what is going to happen since I am quite "mature" for my age" said Amber as she makes air quotes to put emphasis on her apparent maturity.
