The dark-skinned young an showed absolutely no acknowledgement of their requests to stop being so weird and forward with his arm. The comparison for his actions was like that of a biologist or animal researcher. While he showed a little restraint in not just sticking his metal arm right into their mouths, he was only about an inch away from doing so and seemingly had no qualms with doing so. As if the acquisition of their testimonies was justification enough to be strangely invasive, and unresponsive to their pleas. The barest possible response they got him from was a noncommittal nod showing that he heard them. Not that he even remembered their words a second later, but just that he heard sounds come from their mouths.

When it came to them elaborating on their powers, however, he was much more attentive, though not exactly more polite about it. He nodded vigorously as they each described their personal experiences with their powers, leaning ever closer like he was having a hard time hearing them. It wasn't until Briallen stood up to gather her things did he lean too far over and fall again to the ground.

"Oh! Tell me more about this 'rooming' situation you have!"

Instead of standing back up, the young man rolled over the ground to bump up against Briallen's foot and looked up at her, as interested as ever.

"Is there a way I could room with you or someone else? I've been wanting a more immersive experience so I could adjust to life here quicker."

<div align=center>William bit back a laugh when she called the strange boy 'Tron.' Mainly because the name fitted him so well. He nodded just a little when Briallen explained her problem, he felt for her, it'd be awful to have a sensory overload, especially if they could happen so suddenly. He supposed it was a challenge for her to deal with new places, new sights, new sounds. William could prevent his problems from happening easier than she could, though he supposed it messed with his head a little more than hers did, it wasn't fun to feel completely unreasonably sad for days on end, just because someone else close to him was.

William glanced to the girl suddenly when he heard his name, blushing hard, he suddenly realized he'd completely forgotten to introduce himself. "O... Oh.. Th.. That's me..." He stammered, offering a small, friendly smile toward her. "I.. I'm W.. William Beckett." He'd completely forgotten about that advert, he supposed it work work- her and himself. Since he liked the peace and quiet, and that seemed to be what she needed.

He blushed even harder when his sexuality was brought into the conversation, not that he was ashamed at all, there was nothing to be ashamed of here, it was more due to the fact that it wasn't a subject frequently brought up in conversation. Gabe however, he was a subject William relished in talking about. She was right, she was absolutely no threat to the older boy whatsoever. He didn't really care whether she liked girls or not, girls were pretty, just not really Bill's thing. Not romantically at all, anyhow, most of his friends were girls though. He frowned a little when the boy asked if he could room with either of them, shaking his head very slightly. "I.. I don't think... Gabriel would... Would like it all that much if.. If I roomed with a boy... He gets jealous and it makes me... Feel bad."</div>

“You’re William?” Briallen asked, peering at him curiously. Aw yes, that meant she was right—he was a femme boy! She was kind of proud for herself for guessing that one.

“Well, that’s a nice coincidence,” she said with a grin. He certainly wasn’t what she expected—but that wasn’t a bad thing at all. A shy, quiet boy seemed just right for her—someone who wouldn’t stir up too much stimulus and cause her senses to go wild. She did wonder if things might be a little tricky with William’s empathy—if she were feeling shitty, then he would feel it. Then again, if she was angry or upset, she wouldn’t want to be in the room anyway. She always tried to burn off those feelings by going for a run, or kicking a soccer ball around as she was earlier. She was starting to feel pretty confident that this arrangement might work out.

Then ‘Tron’ asked about the rooming situation. Hoo boy…

“Yeah, so, I don’t think they let three people stay in one room…” Briallen replied, lightly tapping the boy’s shoulder with her foot while he lay on the ground. In a way, she found this weird guy kind of amusing, but she wasn’t sure if she could handle being in the same dorm room as him. Plus, it was obviously a no-go for William.

“But if you keep walking around with your shirt off like that—I’m sure you’ll find a roommate in no time.” She added with a wink. Because, really, no matter how weird he was—there had to be a few students around who would choose their hormones over their sense of logic.

She turned her attention back to William, but continued to tap her foot against the other boy’s shoulder for no particular reason.

“So what do you think? I think you and me rooming together might work out nicely."

"Tron" might as well have been a ragdoll for how little effort he was putting into getting off the ground, and how unfazed he seemed with Briallen just tapping away at his shoulder with her foot like he was an amusing corpse. His mood seemed unchanged, however, and he obligingly rocked back and forth on the ground in sync with her tapping, all while maintaining his usual "serious, but extremely animated" demeanor.

"So this Gabriel fellow... He is your mate of some kind, hm? So he would find my presence an affront to his territory. But not for you."

He pointed at Briallen, his arm wavering in time with his rocking.

"I assume it's because you don't have the qualities the Gabriel is looking for in a mate. So that means... I DO. Fascinating. So I suppose I could..."

"Tron" trailed off into his own mind for a few moments, apparently having a conversation with himself while he continued to be tapped by Briallen. It was her mention of his shirtlessness, though, that brought him back to the real world. He raised an eyebrow at her wink, apparently unfamiliar with the expression, but paid attention no less. He patted his chest and torso, like he was looking for a pocket that wasn't there, then looked down at himself, curious.

"So you're saying I should use the lack of clothing to attract a room and mate? Like it has for you finding William?"

I always forget which dialog color this guy is.

<div align=center>William had no idea what the strange boy was talking about. Mate? Territory? He scowled a little, unappreciative of the way his boyfriend was being talked about as if he were some kind of animal. He wasn't. William had to stop himself from laughing when he said he thought he had the qualities Gabe looked for in a 'mate,' or so he'd put it. He shook his head rather vigorously, "I think you've got the wrong idea..." He frowned a little, "you're not... How do I put this? I'm more likely to become president of the United States than you becoming Gabe's..." He paused again, lifting an eyebrow, "mate."

"Gabe wouldn't get jealous of Briallen because she is a girl." The boy stated plainly, with a shrug, "since I don't really swing that way, and neither does she, there's no threat to him." Not that William was very likely to run off with someone else, there wasn't anyone else on campus who had a face he liked as much as Gabriel's. Briallen was pretty, but William didn't really feel any kind of attraction for her.

William thought she'd make a pretty good room mate, she was completely non-threatening, and besides, she needed peace and quiet as much as she did. If they got sick of each other at times, he could always go and sleep in Gabriel's room- not that he didn't do that often already. "Alright." He finally said, "sounds like a plan."</div>

Briallen couldn’t help but snort-laugh a little at how ‘Tron’ interpreted their conversation. She was kind of curious about what other theories he had about their world. Ah, weirdo alien boy.

“Hey now—don’t go around stealing people’s boyfriends and girlfriends, alright? It’s rude,” she said. The hypocrisy of that statement was not entirely lost on Briallen, considering she had been a ‘girlfriend thief’ a few times…but she was just going to gloss over that.

“I think you need to learn a bit more about the world before thinking about a ‘mate’. Which, by the way, we don’t really call them that.” Briallen brought her tapping foot away from ‘Tron’, and leaned over him with her hands on her hips. “Seriously, dating and relationships are the most complex human interactions ever. I would know—I’ve dated a lot of girls. So start simple and work your way up. Finding a roommate should at least be easier.”

…Why did she have this sudden urge to teach ‘Tron’ about the world? Probably for two reasons: partially, because she was worried his confusion of their world could lead him to potentially bad situations, and maybe partially because she just found him kind of amusing.

Standing back up straight, she turned her attention back to William. “Great! I think this will work out for both of us.” It was a relief that William agreed to the rooming arrangement, because the other ads she saw for roommates were not particularly appealing.

"Is this President you speak of looking for a roomie, or a mate?"

"Tron" tapped a couple of times on his metal gauntlet, activating some kind of recorder, before raising it to his mouth and speaking into it.

"Note to self: Look up President and see if they want a roomie."

After his little memo had been recorded, he kicked off the ground and back onto his feet rather gracefully.

"You'll have to regale with tales of your conquests then. My studies never left me with enough time to engage in romantic goings-on or carnal delights. Perhaps you could spare me a girl or two to make up for lost time? Or maybe William could spare me a boy or two?"

Keeping with his usual attitude of taking things just a little bit off course, "Tron" seemed to continue talking in an academic or even business sense. He was asking Briallen and Willaim if they could spare a mate or two, like they were some kind of commodity. Again, he meant no ill will. Intentionally anyway.
