Leandro walked with confidence and a calm about him, his abilities granted him a useful way of seeing the world, he couldn't see letters or colors, but he still saw things few do. "Unfortunately its not a utopia," he'd say with a small nod, "there's still people unwilling to accept others of certain races or groups, but that's unfortunately something you'll always see." He'd give her a smile, "not a utopia, but perhaps as close as a place on Earth can get."
He'd nod and tap one of his ears with a funny little grin, "oh yes, people rely on their eyes a lot, but I can find out a lot more with my ears," he'd tilt his head as a man passed them, a human, Leandro waited until he was out of hearing distance before speaking, "that man we passed, by his body language he seemed calm, but he wasn't, no his heartbeat was through the roof, and I could hear him playing with loose change in his pocket, nervous about something." The young vampire would open the door for his new friend and follow in after her, "no, no Miss Lockwood," he'd give a smile, "wouldn't do for me to let you pay, I'm afraid this is my treat." He'd chuckle, "besides, the owner is a friend and would have my hide if she found out if I let you pay for it, as for what I'm having, oh a cinnamon apple muffin sounds nice."
