Name: Valerie "Val" Noria
Age:25 26
Birthday: May 17
Gender: Female
Species: Harpy
Category: Citizen
Career: None
Appearance:
Standing fully upright, Valerie is 5'7" tall. Her eyes are golden and carries a childish gleam. Her arms are her wings, which are covered with white feathers with brown tips. Like harpies from story books, she has sharp talons instead of feet. Most of her skin is a fair tone, however it shifts to a dark gray from her shins to her talons. The same pattern could be seen on her arms if the feathers were plucked (don't actually pluck her feathers though). Her hands are usually well hidden under her feathers, so you'd be forgiven for thinking she has none.
Personality Description: Val is the type of person who doesn't let anything pull her mood down, to the point of coming off as sickeningly optimistic and perhaps naive or carefree. She enjoys being the trickster, but her tricks are done with a little consideration to the person on the receiving end. Most of the time. Sometimes.
Despite looking mature enough to have kids of her own, she acts very much like a child herself. She enjoy sweets and playing games, though the concept of "rules" and "laws" easily escape her.
Active Abilities:
Passive Abilities:
Weaknesses:
Resources: Lives with her father, Tucker who has a library full of books, some of which are magical. Tucker's standard of living is high-middle class, with a two-story house and a medium-sized lot.
Biography: There are a lot of isolated places in the world where humans, at least the ones with sophisticated technology, dare not travel due to the dangers of cannibal tribes, dangerous animals, or supernatural occurrences. Valerie was birthed, or more specifically, hatched, inside a laboratory hidden within one of these places. She wasn't an experiment, and neither was her mother. In fact, her mother was a scientist in the lab who happened to be carrying an egg while she worked there. At least that was what she was told. Her mother didn't like talking much about how she came to be or who her father was, and Val simply didn't ask anymore after a while.
She lived in an island that was basically magically shielded from the outside world, so only those who had been on the island could ever know it was there. It was populated with numerous other non-human creatures, the human population being the lowest, which wasn't really surprising considering their situation.
The thought of meeting her father had rarely crossed the harpy's mind after the age of six, but while stumbling into the attic of her home, she found a well hidden box, and inside it were pictures of her mother in her younger years. And one of those pictures was on a man who she didn't recognize but felt like she should have. Confronting her mother about it, she finally told her that he was her father. It was then she decided to meet him, but to her dismay, her mother had forgotten his name. Undeterred however, Val decided to seek him out.
It took a lot of persuasion until her mother eventually caved and let her go, pointing her to another similarly-hidden island since it was the most likely place to find him, but in reality, her mother simply didn't want her going out and getting herself hurt meeting humans who would likely treat her as a test subject. But before she left, her mother instructed her to do one thing. Never bring her father home, in the event she ever found him. Val asked why, but she never got an answer.
Summary of Recent History:
— She found her father, Tucker Watanabe, and started living with him.
— She met a special someone during a weekend at a lodge. Alex becomes her boyfriend.
— She got turned into a child because of the Toskada Disease during the March virus outbreak.
— When she recovered, her physical traits had changed.
Additional Information: When she recovered from the Toskada Disease in March, her body took a different path when she had grown back, changing her physical appearance slightly. Her birthmark had disappeared, and so did her heterochromia. This is perhaps due to a hidden potential in magic inherited from her father.

Active Abilities:
- Spellcasting — Valerie can cast spells by reciting them or performing the proper spellcasting ritual. For now she is limited to a few spells that she can do without needing a medium or "cheat sheet" of some sort like a self-written note, a spell book, or an old scroll, but without the proper practice or guidance, attempting to cast spells without knowing how to properly do it would yield unintended results which may lead to injury at worst, or nothing happening at best. If she uses a magical medium such as an item that is enchanted to cast one or multiple spells, she may have better luck, but without knowing how to properly use them, she is just as likely to injure herself. One of the spells she is adequate in casting is a simple healing spell that can heal small wounds like scrapes and scratches easily, but it only affects flesh. On big injuries like deep cuts and broken bones, it can only offer an anesthetic effect. A second spell is a fairly simple fire spell that she can conjure in the palm of her hands. Miraculously, it doesn't burn her or any of her feathers. However, accidental explosions may occur from time to time.
Passive Abilities:
- Harpy Physiology — The Harpy has large wings for arms. Hands are present where they would be compared to human arms. As with having wings instead of human arms, harpies, from the knee down, have avian feet with sharp talons similar to that of crows. (Three digits on the front, one at the back, opposite the center.) Additionally, they have better eyesight, being able to read things clearly from half a mile away. They have tail feathers, but they start protruding before the waistline. They are a lot lighter when it comes to weight thanks to hollow bones, which allows for flight, but strangely enough however they are also strong enough to carry a passenger or two, though it quickly tires them out.
This breed of harpy evolved very closely to human physiology, and it would be easy to mistake them for one at first glance. Their teeth are very similar to humans with their fangs being sharper and a bit bigger. Not by a lot, but noticeable enough. Their backs are covered with fine down feathers that helps trap heat. These feathers run from the back of their necks, fading from their hair, the shoulder blades, where it merges with the wing feathers, and down their spine to the tail feathers. - Biological Immortality — Harpies never die of old age, and their bodies remain at their prime once they reach it. However, they aren't immune to diseases, and they are different enough not die when infected with viruses like bird flu, but they can still get sick from it.
- Animal Senses — Although not as sensitive as their animal counterpart, Harpies tend to feel uneasy when natural phenomenas like earthquakes are about to occur, or when there is a large shift in nature that would send animals into a panic.
Weaknesses:
- Physical Weakness — Harpies aren't meant to brawl it out. They have weaker bones that break more easily than human ones, and their wings can be a hindrance in closed areas. They are also a lot lighter than humans with the same physique.
