[color=33ff99]"Well....I had been hoping for Angelfish...but since that is taken, I suppose I can settle for that."[/color] Truthfully, she would have liked anything he called her.
Ivan grinned, looking into Scarlet's eyes. "Let the world end tommorow and I'll be fine, because all I need is you." He said. "You should get some sleep. It's late."
[color=33ff99]"Well, I hope it doesn't."[/color] She grinned. Then she sighed lightly and headed back into their room. [color=33ff99]"I would argue with you, but I'm tired. So I suppose I'll go to sleep. But you are too, got it?"[/color]
Ivan nodded. "Of course, but I need a shower first." He said, heading into the bathroom. Within moments he was showering. As he washed, Ivan thought. He thought about the moon and the stars. He thought about the flowers and the sun. Above all else, he thought of Scarlet and how the next eight months would change everything.
Scarlet put on her pajamas and slid beneath the bed sheets. She had turned off all the lights, so the only light was the moonlight which shone through the balcony doors. She closed her eyes but didn't fall asleep. Instead she began imagining how she could change the guest room at home into a baby nursery.
Ivan finished up his shower and got dressed quickly. He crept quietly into the bedroom. His eyes shifted into those of a cat. Scarlet appeared to be sleeping, so Ivan sat down at a small regal table in onecorner with a pen and a notepad. Slowly, carefully, he began to draw.
Opening her eyes, Scarlet looked around and tsked when she saw her husband over at a table doing something. She slid out of the warmth of the sheets and padded over to him. She got behind the chair he was in and leaned over his shoulder. [color=33ff99]"What're you doing?"[/color] She whispered softly, though in the light she could see.
Ivan flinched, surprised. "I'm drawing." He answered. He held up his unfinished picture of Scarlet sleeping. It was far better than his previous drawings.
"You really think so?" Ivan asked, going back to work on the drawing. "It took me a lot of practice to get this good, but it's worth it. I'd be embarrassed to draw you if I didn't get better."
