Scarlet wished Ivan would come back. She felt more safe when she could see him. But since he was under the couch, she just kept her gaze on the other person. [color=33ff99]"I never said that. He didn't say when he would be gone. Sometimes it's up to days before he comes back. Or at least until he shows his face. He says he's far away, but I think he just stays near the house to see if I leave, then plans to kill me if I do. That's why I never leave."[/color] She was nervous, so she was talking a lot.

Scarlet rolled her eyes and wished she could laugh. This was crazy. Of course, no one was out there waiting to kill her, but this man didn't know that. [color=33ff99]"Neither. I'd rather you leave here and let me be. You can go out there in the open and let yourself get killed."[/color]

When he called Ivan a beast, Scarlet, angry, slapped his cheek hard. [color=33ff99]"He is no beast! He's my husband."[/color] Right after the words exited her mouth she wished to take them back. She covered her mouth with her hands and took a step backwards.
