Ivan shrugged. "Honestly, I have no idea." He curled up on Scarlet's lap.

Mimic slowly rose to his feet. "Ow... What happened?"He took a long pause, digging through his memories. "Ah. I remember now." He ran, an angry expression on his face.

Scarlet slowly ran her fingers through his fur, feeling his backbone. She pulled him closer and cuddled him. Good thing I don't hate cats, she thought.

Ivan purred out of instinct, rather enjoying himself so far.

Mimic soon arrived at the house. "Here we are... Where are the wolves?" The wolves were out mourning the loss of their leader. Mimic shrugged. He approached the door and knocked. He had decided to wear a tuxedo.

Scarlet could not hear the knock at the door, but one of the front windows was open and she saw a form standing near the door. [color=33ff99]"Iv, there's someone at the door..."[/color] She scooped him into her arms and carried him with her as she went to answer the door. [color=33ff99]"May I help you?"[/color] She asked cautiously.

A woman was at the door. did he have the wrong house? No, Ivan was probably holding a captive. Mimic used another voice to avoid having his prey recognize it; The voice of an older gentleman. "I'm from the local police department. I need to question you." Smooth.

Ivan blinked, looking up at Scarlet. "It's the police. They want to interrogate us." He told her.

Scarlet nodded slowly. [color=33ff99]"All right. Come on inside."[/color] She went back to the couch, hoping the man wouldn't close the door once inside. She looked down at Ivan for strength before looking up at the man. [color=33ff99]"What do you need to question me about?"[/color]

As he entered, Mimic closed the door behind him. Ivan hissed loudly at him as he drew his katana. "Fear not, my lady!" Mimic said, raising his katana. "For I have come to slay your kidnapper. Now, where did that shape-shifter get to?"

Scarlet's eyes widened when she realized he thought she had been kidnapped, and also because she realized he planned on killing her husband. [color=33ff99]Please don't speak, Ivan.[/color] She told him quietly with her mind. Out loud, she gave the man a relieved/grateful look. [color=33ff99]"Oh, thank you! I've been stuck in this horrid place for way too long!"[/color] As long as he thought she had been kidnapped, she might as well pretend to have been. [color=33ff99]"But he's not here. He left a few hours ago to do something, and...swore he'd have me killed if I attempted to leave."[/color]

Ivan looked confused. He quickly snuck under the couch to avoid having Mimic guess the cat was him. Mimic grinned. "Aha! So he will return! I shall await him eagerly!" Mimic hid behind the TV, eyeing the door.
