Ivan missed the joke. "I suppose we could if we rescheduled the flight and extended our reservations, but don't you want to pack?" At this point the fur had finally reached his shoulders.
Scarlet's eyes widened. Not only because he had taken her serious and obviously was willing to change the plans and leave right then; but also because she saw fur that resembled that of which was on his feet now peeping out of his shirt. [color=33ff99]"Uh, Ivan....What's with all the fur?"[/color] She asked hesitantly with a small frown.
Ivan lifted his foot. "Well, scales were way too uncomfortable, so I picked fur instead. At the moment I couldn't think of anything better." The fur crept down to his elbows. "You were there, remember?"
Ivan blinked, confused by her questions. "Because I'd rather have a furry foot than an itchy painful scaly one." He answered. The fur now covered his hands and began wandering up his neck.
Scarlet gulped. He obviously didn't know. [color=3ff99]"Ivan...dear...you have fur all over you."[/color] She took his hand and showed it to him, then pointed to his neck. [color=33ff99]"You may have very soft fur, but I don't really like it much."[/color] She thought about joking about him shaving it off and making her a coat, but decided against saying that for the moment.
Ivan went pale, but his head was soon covered in fur. "It's nothing to worry about!" Ivan reassured her, his voice shaky. A tail and cat ears grew out of him, his regular ears disappearing. He shrunk, and soon he had become a cat. "Well," Ivan said from underneath a pile of the clothes he was wearing. "This is unfortunate."
((Hmm...reversing roles in this one, aren't we? You play human in the other and I play the cat, now it's the other way around.))
Scarlet sensed he was saying something, and tried to pulled the clothes away from his face in time to see what he said, ut it didn't work in time. She stared at him and tried not to freak. Her husband was a cat. Slowly she reached down and picked him up, then deposited him in her lap. [color=33ff99]"You okay?"[/color]
