Scarlet, not hearing the knock, went about the room to make sure all the boxes she had packed a few days ago were still all there, and that she hadn't left anything out. Nodding, she picked up a box and looked at Ivan.

Ivan put on a belt that he found in a box of clothes, and then he heard the knock. "Let me get that." Ivan insisted, taking the box. She knew who was at the door before opening it. The girl gasped, even though she had already seen her. "Why... Why do you look like me?" She asked, mystified. She forgot her manners and started to touch Ivan, checking to see how thoroughly they resembled her. "Do you mind? I'm trying to help my wi-friend." Ivan corrected quickly. He was standing at an angle that allowed Scarlet to see his mouth, because he was starting to understand that she couldn't hear so well. "You see, she's moving and I'm helping her load the car." "Oh! Let me help!" She offered eagerly. "You'll have to ask my- You'll have to ask her." Ivan answered, carrying the box toward the car. "Hi! I'm Ellen! Need some help with these boxes?" She asked in the loud cheerful voice she always used.

Ivan let out a deep sigh as he gently loaded the box into the car. "Why does that kind of thing always happen...?"

Scarlet frowned slightly but nodded. "Sure." She picked up two lightweight boxes and headed out to her new car she shared with Ivan. Now they could enjoy car rides together.

Ellen, determined to prove herself useful, lifted the largest box she could carry and rushed past Scarlet. She loaded the box in and sat down, exhausted for the moment. Ivan walked back toward the dorm for more boxes. "Keep up the good work, dear." He said, forgetting who he was as he passed Scarlet. Ellen blinked, suddenly not as tired. "Dear...?" She shrugged it off; It was probably a mistake that shouldn't be read into. She went back for another box.

Scarlet smiled at Ivan, then faultered. Her eyes grew wide and she bit back a laugh. Shaking her head, she looked to Ellen and said, "You don't want to know" before following Ivan.

Ellen was full of curious energy. "But when you say it like that I DO want to know!" She complained. "They're in MY form, after all!"

Ivan returned, carrying the largest box. Even as a female, he was able to lift it. He heard the girl's pleas and chuckled audibly, imagining how she would react if Scarlet told her they were married.

(thank you. I'm going to do just that.)

Making her face perfectly serious as she came back out with another box, Scarlet explained, "He...." She shook her head. "She's my....husband." Rolling her eyes, she loaded the box in the car. "That's the last one."

(Phew! I thought I had lost the website forever when I kept getting 404'd. I forgot to check my email. ^^')

Ellen froze. Ivan chuckled, opening the door for Scarlet to get in. "After you, dear." He said, finding Ellen's stunned silence terribly humorous.

"That's wonderful!" Ellen proclaimed. In her mind she immediately concocted a tale of forbidden love coming true despite what their families thought.

Scarlet slid into the car but smacked Ivan's arm while doing it. "Change back now, silly." She smiled, shook her head and rolled her eyes.

"Yes dear." Ivan replied. Grinning, he reverted to his original form. He had to quickly loosen the belt before getting in and adjusting the rear-view mirror.

Ellen grinned. She was blushing, embarrassed at her false assumption.
