[thoth=http://i.imgur.com/5uZki9l.png]Hmmm. So, she probably wasn't winter. Something else was going on. Something confusing. Why couldn't everything ever be easy? Why couldn't there just be a simple answer? She let out a sigh. "I suppose it won't be easy - or even possible - to get any more answers. I'll simply have to wait and see what happens. Maybe this is it, and I'll just... not be bothered by cold. Or maybe I'll start doing other things." The child of winter, but not winter itself. Could she be considered winter's heir?

She paused, then dipped her head for a moment. "Thank you for... putting up with this. I imagine it must have been quite surprising to see the letter." It was a surprise to her, but it was a surprise to Pasha just the same. He hadn't known, and it seemed a bit cruel to not think about his feelings in the matter at all.

Sometimes it was a bit too easy to forget he had feelings.

The whole debate was rather confusing, indeed, but it wasn't like Pasha had any more answers. Maybe a couple of explanations here and there, but nothing solid to rest his logic on besides speculation. As far as he was concerned, his mentor and the previous Winter had died childless, having never married.

Pasha gave a passive nod. "Yes, it was quite a surprise." He turned the yellowed envelope over in his hand again and again, unsure of whether he should be the one keeping it or give it back to Anastasia. Though it was addressed to him, it had been given to her through some means or another.

In the end he supposed he didn't need to read it a third or fourth time and held it out to her.

[thoth=http://i.imgur.com/5uZki9l.png]The letter was offered to her, and she hesitated for a few seconds before reaching out and taking it. It had been meant for him, but it was still a part of what little she had left of her parents. There wasn't all that much left, and even if she had never been very sentimental, it felt good to have at least one thing left, even if it was just a small box of odds and ends.

She stood, giving him a little nod. "Thank you. For everything." And she meant it, even if she had a hard time showing it. "I should get back to the school though. I'll... keep in touch." By which she meant she'd think about contacting him, even if she had no idea what that meant.

Assuming he didn't protest, that was it - out the door, back to the school, and off to try and figure out just what it meant.
